Pat McAfee went on a risky rant this Friday as he suggested there was a rat within ESPN feeding outside sources incorrect information to tear his show down.
The former NFL kicker was apparently referring to a recent article in the New York Post that suggested the ratings from ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ are not worth the controversy it creates.
Speaking on said show, McAfee didn’t pull any punches as he revealed who he thinks the rat is. Turns out, the blame has fallen squarely on the shoulders of ESPN’s head of events and studio production Norby Williamson.
“There are folks actively trying to sabotage us from within ESPN,” McAfee said. “More specifically, I believe Norby Williamson is the guy attempting to sabotage our program.”
He also went on to add that Williamson is the only person he believes is privy to such information.
“That is seemingly the only human that has information, and then somehow that information gets leaked and it’s wrong and then it sets a narrative of what our show is,” he continued. “And then are we just going to combat that from a rat every single time?”

Given that McAfee may have already been on the ropes after Aaron Rodgers’ wild claims, there’s no telling how far this could go.
