Ahh NFL fans. Grown adults making their local NFL teams their entire personality. Fans come in all personalities from Bills Mafia to the 12th man. Here, we rank every NFL fanbase from worst to first.
32. Las Vegas Raiders
Raiders fans have a reputation for violence. It is not uncommon to find videos online of Raiders fans fighting fans of opposing teams. Some argue that the fanbase is passionate, but there is a fine line between passion and felony assault. Raiders Nation Baby!
31. Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears had the lowest average attendance per game in 2023. Part of this is due to the fact that Soldier Field only hosts 61,500 seats, but NFL teams have shown how far this number can be stretched in the past. Attendance, piled on top of Bears fans finding themselves split between front-office decisions as if they have a say is what ranks the team so low.
30. Arizona Cardinals
If you were told to name every NFL team who would you forget to name? Exactly. The Cardinals have been an up-and-down franchise for the majority of the team’s existence and the fanbase has been loyal for the ride. But the fact that the Cardinals are one of the most forgettable teams in the league directly trickles down to their fans. Sorry Cardinals fans.

29. Miami Dolphins
It is hard to find passion at a Dolphins game. Despite recent success, fans just seem unenthusiastic about their team week in and week out. The atmosphere at Hard Rock Stadium is one of the best in the NFL, and who can blame the fans? Especially when they gave up a nice day to go to the beach just to watch their team lose at home.
28.Philidelphia Eagles
After watching the video of the kid in an Eagles jersey flipping off the opposing fans this team deserves to be ranked as the best fan base. However, similar to Raiders fans, Eagles fans have been regarded as some of the nastiest fans in the NFL. When the team won the Superbowl in 2018, many people were seen brawling in the streets. Eagles Fans; that’s your own team that you’re fighting. Friendly fire.
27. Atlanta Falcons
If you were to walk up to anyone in Georgia and ask if they were more excited for the Georgia Bulldogs, or Atlanta Falcons, chances are they would say the Bulldogs. Georgia loves college football, and as for the Falcons, the team is stuck in a purgatory. Nothing against the Falcons fans, but they would rather devote their time and energy to their college teams than the actual professional franchise.
26. Houston Texans
Where did all of these Texans fans come from? Before the team drafted C.J. Stroud and started the 2023 season, Texans fans were about as scarce as Chargers fans. All of a sudden, Texans fans are popping up like they have always been there. Funny how fans support their teams when it’s convenient for them. Sound familiar to Seahawks fans?
25. Los Angeles Rams
The Rams have been a high-flying team over the past few seasons with the acquisition of Matthew Stafford as the team’s quarterback. But even with their recent Superbowl and playoff success, the Ram’s fan base has been scarce to put it lightly. With such a successful team over the past few seasons, you would think that the fan base would grow to be more supportive. Isn’t that right Texans fans?
24. Indianapolis Colts
To be upfront and honest; Colts fans know football. They may be the most knowledgeable fan base in the league, but the fanbase has a hard time separating the players from the game. An example of this came when Andrew Luck retired, or when Tyler Goodson dropped the pass on a fourth-down play that would have skyrocketed the Colt’s playoff chances. Imagine being a player getting death threats from your own team. Way to spread the love Indianapolis.
23. Los Angeles Chargers
Props to the Chargers fans (all three of them) for bullying Brandon Staley out of a job. The Chargers fans are loyal, wherever they are hiding, and they do the due diligence for their team. The fanbase has grown over the past decade to the point where making jokes about their nonexistent fans isn’t as true anymore, but they’re still funny.
22. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Even with the recent Superbowl win and playoff contention, the Buccaneers fans are fairly quiet. The team has the fifth lowest attendance per game in the NFL, and honestly, name one Buccaneers fan in your life. Never met one.
21. San Francisco 49ers
First of all, the team isn’t even in San Francisco, can they at least get the geography right (take notes Giants, Jets and Cowboys)? Geography aside, no fan base yaps more than the 49ers fans. Despite all the good the team does for their community, “Niner Gang” is one of the worst fan bases.
20. Cincinnati Bengals
Who doesn’t love watching grown men with children dress up like an orange cat on a Sunday afternoon? The fanbase has a history of being pessimistic, despite recent success with their savior Joe Burrow. Overall, just a middle-of-the-pack fan base.
19. Carolina Panthers
We are pretty sure that no Panthers fan has ever worked in customer service before, especially after they condoned owner David Tepper throwing a drink at a Jaguars fan. Granted, it was really funny, but the $300,000 fine that Tepper had to pay was even funnier. Fans have also taken anger out on rookie quarterback Bryce Young despite Young playing well for a rookie. This is a fanbase that refuses to accept that they are in a rebuild.
18. Jacksonville Jaguars
Imagine needing a pool at your stadium just to attract fans to your games. Jokes aside the Jaguars seem to have a great atmosphere at their games, but nobody really pays attention to the football itself. However, the fans are still passionate, but they are very small compared to other teams.
17. Tennessee Titans
Most Titans fans are just kind of “there”; nothing crazy. They’re just… there. Nothing really separates the Titans from the rest of the pack. When you think of a casual NFL fan just think of the Titans fan base.
16. Detroit Lions
Another fan base that is just kind of “there” is the Detroit Lions. They have been one of the more depressed fan bases in the league for so long, but Dan Campbell jumpstarted the hearts of all Lions fans and now they’re all hooked on biting kneecaps. The team needs to show they can sustain this recent level of success in order for the fan base to continue growing.
15. Washington Commanders
Washington fans care about their team and the history of the franchise. Their frustration was strong enough to push out Daniel Snyder and bring in Josh Harris as the new owner. Never get a Commanders fan angry; they’ll petition against you!
14. Denver Broncos
Russ never started cooking but Broncos fans have remained loyal. Fans never seemed to lose hope, especially during the final few weeks of the season when the Broncos fell apart before the playoffs.
13. New England Patriots
Patriots fans realize they had a good run, but the two most influential people in franchise history are gone and will never return. Even in the face of recent adversity, the Patriots fans have remained loyal to their team. We salute you Pats fans.
12. Minnesota Vikings
SKOL nation is very much alive. Even when there is not much to celebrate, the fans still show up. U.S Bank Stadium is always a sea of purple and fans are always ready to support the team.
11. Baltimore Ravens
After all that the city of Baltimore has been through from losing their team to regaining a new franchise, the fan base has been there through it all. Few fan bases are more persistent than Ravens fans who have stuck with Harbaugh through thick and thin.
10. New York Giants
The Tommy DeVito Italian hand took over the NFL this season, and Giants fans showed how passionate they can be. Even though the Giants are in the midst of a rebuild or they are just trash), fans are always there to brave the cold weather and have a good time.
9. New York Jets
Jets fans have a lot to cry about, but the fan base has been one of the most consistently passionate fan bases that we have ever seen. To be honest, the Jets don’t have a lot to celebrate, but don’t tell their fans because they will just keep chanting “J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!”
8. Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks fans have a reputation for being some of the loudest fans in the NFL. Which other team can say they caused an earthquake because of how loud they were. The 12th man is one of the loudest fan bases in the league, and the fans know the ins and outs of the game. Fans are a part of a community when they enter Lumen Field, and that atmosphere is here to stay.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Terrible Towel is a tradition that many colleges and professional teams have adopted since the tradition started. Steelers fans are some of the toughest in the league, braving below-freezing temperatures on multiple occasions to watch their Steelers go to work on Sundays.
6. Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs fans are some of the most loyal fans in the NFL. The fans do own the record for the loudest stadium in the world, and part of that is due to their large capacity stadium which is filled to the brim week in and week out. Fans are also eager to give back to the community, except for that one Chiefs fan who robbed a bank in his wolf mask; but other than him Chiefs fans get a pass.
5. Cleveland Browns
Browns fans have suffered more than any other fan base in the league. After watching their franchise move to Baltimore, and win a Superbowl, the Dawg Pound has every right to be frustrated. Even during the team’s 0-16 season, fans showed up to support their team. That takes guts, and every loyal Browns fan should get a free ticket to heaven.
4. Buffalo Bills
Surprised? Bills fans are some of the funniest fans in the league. They are extremely passionate and know how to party. Every Bills fan had to have been a part of Greek life in school because this fan base knows the value of red solo cups and folding white tables.
3. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys were either going to be at the top of this list, or at the very bottom. Say what you want about America’s team, but the Cowboys fans are passionate like no other. The best part is, they (usually) aren’t violent either (take notes Raiders fans). Cowboys fans get a lot of flak for being themselves, but you do you Dallas. You aren’t hurting anyone.
2. New Orleans Saints
The Big Easy has earned itself a reputation as a party palace and that is exactly what it is. Saints fans are some of the most devoted people you will ever meet, and the Saints franchise is more than just a local team; it is a part of the culture. The Superdome is one of the best venues in all of American sports, and Saints fans are a huge reason why.
1. Green Bay Packers
Packers fans have earned the reputation as some of the nicest fans in all of sports. It is common to see Packers fans getting along well with fans of other teams and inviting them to hang out during the game. They are a very devoted fanbase and are loyal through the ups and downs of their franchise. They deal with extreme weather and love rocking their cheese hats to keep their heads warm.
