Week 5 delivered a whirlwind of action for the league’s top pass catchers, with plenty of catches, yards, and touchdowns.
Let’s look around the NFL following this week’s slate and rank every team’s top receiving option.
Who are the top wide receivers in the NFL after week 5 of games?
32. Los Angeles Chargers (bye): Joshua Palmer (Last Week #31)
Joshua Palmer is a fringe wide receiver one at best, and he has a tough matchup coming off the bye with Patrick Surtain II and the Denver Broncos defense looming.
31. Philadelphia Eagles (bye): Parris Campbell (Last Week #30)
Let’s face it: Parris Campbell is not a legitimate wide receiver 1. The good news for Philly is that both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are expected to return to action next week
30. Tennessee Titans (bye): Calvin Ridley (Last Week #29)

Calvin Ridley has really struggled to get much going thus far in 2024. Even with the bye week, it is hard to get your hopes up with all of the questions Tennessee has at quarterback.
29. Denver Broncos: Courtland Sutton (Last Week #16)
Despite Denver’s offense showing up in a big way, Courtland Sutton was quiet again this week, catching just two passes for 32 yards, as Nix really looked to diversify the offense and spread the ball around.
28. Pittsburgh Steelers: George Pickens (Last Week #15)
Tough showing for George Pickens in Pittsburgh this week, as the mercurial star receiver converted just three of seven targets and finished with a measly 26 yards receiving.
27. Carolina Panthers: Diontae Johnson (Last Week #11)
After a short revival, Diontae Johnson was back in the toilet again this week. The Panthers receiver couldn’t get any separation against a tough Bears secondary. He was targeted six times and caught three of them for 23 yards.

26. New England Patriots: DeMario Douglas (Last Week #32)
DeMario Douglas had one of his better performances of the NFL season. The Patriots’ number one option hauled in six of nine catches for 59 yards to lead the way for the Pats.
25. Las Vegas Raiders: Jakobi Meyers (Last Week #26)
The absence of Adams left a void that proved too much to overcome. Brock Bowers provided a brief flash with his 57-yard touchdown, but the receiving corps struggled for separation throughout the afternoon. That said, Jakobi Meyers, who was slotted into top receiver duties, actually had a nice afternoon snagging six catches for 72 yards.
24. New Orleans Saints: Chris Olave (Last Week #10)
Monday Night Football was not the best showing for the Saints’ top receiver, Chris Olave. He struggled to get separation all game against a strong Chiefs secondary and finished with just one catch for four yards.
23. Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr. (Last Week #14)
Marvin Harrison Jr. was quiet again this week, as it seems like he and Kyler aren’t 100% on the same page yet. Murray targeted him seven times, but he only managed to secure two for 36 yards on Sunday.
22. Miami Dolphins: Tyreek Hill (Last Week #24)
Week 5 was better for Tyreek Hill… But still, not the guy we are used to seeing. That said he had a nice afternoon, snagging six catches for 69 yards.
21. Cleveland Browns: Amari Cooper (Last Week #19)
Amari Cooper had a relatively good showing on Sunday despite the rest of the Browns offense not showing up. He hauled in four receptions for 60 yards, leading the team, though none of the catches were particularly meaningful.
20. Buffalo Bills: Keon Coleman (Last Week #23)
Well… He may have only had one catch, but it was a super impressive one, a 49-yard touchdown. This was a promising sign that Coleman is continuing to develop into the star that Josh Allen believed he would when he petitioned ownership to draft him.
19. Los Angeles Rams: Tutu Atwell (Last Week #21)
This week was all about Jordan Whittington, who introduced himself to the NFL with a team-leading seven receptions for 89 yards against the Packers and opened up a ton of opportunity for Tutu Atwell, who is still serving as the de facto number one option with Kupp and Nacua sidelined by injury. Atwell himself caught six of 10 targets for 58 yards.
18. Houston Texans: Stefon Diggs (Last Week #20)
While he’s gotten off to a slow start this year, Stefon Diggs stepped up in a big way after Nico Collins went down with an injury. In his absence, Diggs led the way for Houston with six receptions for 82 yards.
17. Indianapolis Colts: Michael Pittman Jr. (Last Week #8)
The Colts offense may have taken a big step forward behind Joe Flacco this week, but that didn’t provide much lift for Michael Pittman Jr. this go around. The Colts’ number one option took a back seat to Alec Pierce but ultimately had an effective day, turning five catches into 37 yards and a touchdown.
16. Green Bay Packers: Jayden Reed (Not Ranked)
With Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs out, Jayden Reed took over for Green Bay, and the young NFL wide receiver had a very impressive showing, including a 53-yard catch in triple coverage that turned heads across the country. Reed and his four catches for 78 yards were integral in the Packers’ short-handed victory.
15. Chicago Bears: DJ Moore (Last Week #22)
This was the DJ Moore that Chicago had been waiting to see. He snagged five of eight targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns as his Bears offense throttled a weak Panthers side.
14. Kansas City Chiefs: Xavier Worthy (Not Ranked)
Xavier Worthy was slotted into a big role on Monday Night as the Chiefs’ number-one option with Rashee Rice out due to injury. The rookie had a nice showing, scoring a critical touchdown late on the ground and snagging a handful of catches on Monday Night Football.
13. Jacksonville Jaguars: Christian Kirk (Last Week #13)
Christian Kirk was quiet to start the game on Sunday, but he came alive in the second half and managed to finish the contest with four catches for 88 yards.
12. San Francisco 49ers: Brandon Aiyuk (Last Week #27)
Finally, we have a Brandon Aiyuk sighting! The 49ers wide receiver had, far and away, his best game of the NFL season. It looks like he is starting to play himself into shape following a slow start caused by his failed contract negotiations that kept him out of camp. He converted eight of 12 targets for 147 yards with a long of 53.
11. Dallas Cowboys: CeeDee Lamb (Last Week #5)
CeeDee Lamb didn’t have one of his trademarked blowout performances, but his presence was felt and he did well to secure five catches for 62 yards.
10. New York Giants: Darius Slayton (Not Ranked)
With Malik Nabers missing in action due to injury, Darius Slayton got slotted back into wide receiver 1 duties, and, candidly, he looked better than ever. Jones found him eight times for 122 yards and a touchdown as they marched all over the Seahawks’ secondary.
9. Detroit Lions (bye): Amon-Ra St. Brown (Last Week #12)
Amon-Ra St. Brown hasn’t had his best start to the NFL season, but perhaps this time during the bye will give him and Jared Goff a chance to get on the same page in full!
8. Baltimore Ravens: Zay Flowers (Last Week #17)
Zay Flowers had himself a heck of an afternoon on Sunday. Lamar Jackson found him seven times for 111 yards as he continued to rip off big plays against the Bengals D.
7. Seattle Seahawks: D.K. Metcalf (Last Week #3)
In a week where we saw some blowout performances from top wide receivers, DK Metcalf slides back in the rankings, as he was productive but not to the level we’ve grown to expect from the physical wide receiver. The Seahawk’s star had four catches on seven attempts for 55 yards.
6. New York Jets: Garrett Wilson (Last Week #18)
Finally! We have a Garrett Wilson sighting! I guess Aaron Rodgers doesn’t hate him after all… The former Ohio State standout came to play on Sunday, as he snagged 13 catches for 101 yards and a huge touchdown during the attempted comeback the Jets mounted.
5. Washington Commanders: Terry McLaurin (Last Week #7)
Back-to-back big weeks for Terry McLaurin. Jayden Daniels found him four times for 112 yards in a statement win for Washington.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Mike Evans (Last Week #6)
We are running out of superlatives for Mike Evans, who will eventually go down as one of the best wide receivers that the game has seen. Five catches for 62 yards is modest for Evans, but he came up huge for Tampa Bay on Thursday, almost single-handedly winning them the game with his two touchdown catches.
3. Atlanta Falcons: Drake London (Last Week #9)
What a performance in Primetime for Drake London. The young wide receiver went for 12 catches, 154 yards, and an 18-yard touchdown that came at a critical juncture in the game. This is the kind of showing that the Falcons expected out of him when they took him in the first round out of USC a couple of years back. It turns out they just needed the right quarterback to let him really open things up!
2. Minnesota Vikings: Justin Jefferson (Last Week #1)
Justin Jefferson didn’t get in the end zone this week, but the league’s best receiver continues to impress. He hauled in six catches for 92 yards, including a couple of key conversions.
1. Cincinnati Bengals: Ja'Marr Chase (Last Week #4)
Ja’Marr Chase is officially back! The Bengals’ superstar wide receiver put up a masterful performance in Week 5, continually torching the Ravens’ defense. When all was said and done, he had a massive 10 receptions on 12 targets for 193 yards and two touchdowns.
