The start of the 2024 NFL season has given us plenty of surprises, disappointments, and breakout performances at the wide receiver position.
Some of the league’s top targets are already solidifying their dominance, while others are struggling to hit their stride. From unexpected busts to emerging stars, we’ll break down every NFL wide receiver performance so far and see who’s rising and who’s falling – starting from 32nd all the to top honors.
Who are the top wide receivers in the NFL after week three of games?
32. Los Angeles Chargers: Joshua Palmer (Last Week #27)
Joshua Palmer was dealing with an elbow and calf injury that ultimately rendered him unable to play on Sunday against Pittsburgh. His production hasn’t been there so far this year, but based on the step back that the Chargers’ offense took, it is hard to deny that they missed him.
31. New England Patriots: DeMario Douglas (Last Week #28)
Despite the fact that New England’s receivers were practically invisible in this game due to the offensive challenges, DeMario Douglas actually managed to put up a fairly respectable stat line with seven catches for 69 yards.
30. Pittsburgh Steelers: George Pickens (Last Week #25)

George Pickens was solid, but nothing special on Sunday. Justin Fields connected with him five times for 57 yards as the offense came alive late to steal a huge win from the Chargers.
29. Indianapolis Colts: Michael Pittman Jr. (Last Week #17)
With the way that Indianapolis’s passing attack is looking, it might be a while before we see Michael Pittman Jr. really get it going. The star receiver finished Sunday’s game with just four catches on five targets for 36 yards.
28. Green Bay Packers: Romeo Doubs (Last Week #15)
While the Packers’ offense may have been cooking, it was an awfully quiet game for Romeo Doubs, who put up just one reception for 18 yards.
27. Tennessee Titans: Calvin Ridley (Last Week #5)
Tough look for Calvin Ridley this weekend, as the Titans’ talented wideout was completely shut down. He finished the matchup against Green Bay with just one catch for nine yards, converting only one of his three targets.

26. San Francisco 49ers: Brandon Aiyuk (Not Ranked)
With Deebo Samuel injured, Brandon Aiyuk was slotted into wide receiver 1 duties again for this NFL team. He caught just five passes for 48 yards, as most of the attention went to Jauan Jennings all game.
25. Chicago Bears: DJ Moore (Last Week #20)
DJ Moore needs an attitude adjustment and fast. His body language has been terrible the last couple of games, which is not what you need from your star on a young team. That said, he did finally start to build some chemistry with his rookie QB, as he and Williams hooked up eight times for 78 yards.
24. Buffalo Bills: Keon Coleman (Last Week #31)
Keon Coleman was quiet this week with just one catch, but he made it count with an electric 24-yard touchdown snag.
23. Los Angeles Rams: Tutu Atwell (Not Ranked)
With Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua sidelined, Tutu Atwell did well in showing up in their stead as the de facto number one option. He caught four big passes for 93 yards.
22. Jacksonville Jaguars: Christian Kirk (Last Week #32)
Christian Kirk had a good night in the stat sheet, though it is hard to put much stock into it. He finished with 79 yards on eight catches.
21. Denver Broncos: Courtland Sutton (Last Week #30)
Sunday’s showing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was rather mediocre for this NFL team’s top wide receiver. Courtland Sutton led the way for the Broncos, catching seven passes for 68 yards as the Broncos snagged their first win of the season.
20. Carolina Panthers: Diontae Johnson (Last Week #29)
Diontae Johnson was Andy Dalton’s top target this week, as the shifty receiver racked up 122 yards and a touchdown on eight catches. Seems he was happy to have a different quarterback throwing him the ball.
19. Houston Texans: Stefon Diggs (Last Week #21)
While the Texans may have struggled, Stefon Diggs at least had his best game with the team to date. Diggs finished the game having secured 10 of his 12 targets for 94 yards.
18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Mike Evans (Last Week #14)
Week 3 was about as bad as it gets for a pro like Mike Evans, who will undoubtedly walk right into Canton one day. The future Hall of Famer was just targeted three times as he struggled to get separation, hauling in two of them for 17 yards.
17. New Orleans Saints: Chris Olave (Last Week #22)
Chris Olave re-established himself as the focal point of the Saints’ passing attack, catching six passes for 86 yards and a late touchdown, though it came in a losing effort against a motivated Eagles side.
16. New York Jets: Garrett Wilson (Last Week #18)
Garrett Wilson was somewhat quiet again this week, with five catches for 33 yards, but it’s good that he finally got in the end zone!
15. Cleveland Browns: Amari Cooper (Last Week #26)
After a quiet start to the season, Amari Cooper came alive in Week 3. The Browns’ top receiver snagged two touchdown passes in the second half against New York as his team tried to claw back into contention. He finished with 86 yards and two touchdowns on seven receptions.
14. Washington Commanders: Terry McLaurin (Last Week #24)
Terry McLaurin was the star of the receiving corps, making four catches for 100 yards, including a game-sealing 27-yard touchdown grab that helped remind people he’s one of the top receivers in the game.
13. Miami Dolphins: Tyreek Hill (Last Week #10)
Another quiet week for Tyreek Hill, who has been collateral damage in Miami’s quickly deteriorating offense. He caught just three passes for 40 yards in Week 3, a far cry from the ridiculous standard he has set for himself over the years.
12. Baltimore Ravens: Zay Flowers (Last Week #7)
It was a quiet Sunday for Zay Flowers this week as the Ravens went heavy on the rushing attack instead. The Ravens’ top wideout finished with just three catches for 20 yards.
11. Dallas Cowboys: CeeDee Lamb (Last Week #13)
CeeDee Lamb had a quiet game for his ridiculous standards. He finished the showdown with a tough Ravens secondary with four catches for 67 yards.
10. Philadelphia Eagles: DeVonta Smith (Last Week #9)
While he was outshined by his tight end in terms of pure production, DeVonta Smith had another nice week for the Eagles. The speedy receiver caught seven of 10 targets for 79 yards with a long of 21.
9. Las Vegas Raiders: Davante Adams (Last Week #4)
The Raiders offense as a whole struggled on Sunday against a revitalized Panthers defense, and Davante Adams was collateral damage. He finished the game with just four catches for 40 yards.
8. Atlanta Falcons: Drake London (Last Week #12)
Drake London has gotten off to a nice start to the 2024 season, as the young NFL wide receiver seems to be appreciating the upgrade at quarterback. He hauled in six receptions for 67 yards and a score on Sunday night against Kansas City.
7. Detroit Lions: Amon-Ra St. Brown (Last Week #11)
Amon-Ra St. Brown had himself a day against the Cardinals this week, snagging seven catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. Plus, he was instrumental in the epic hook-and-ladder play that Coach Campbell whipped out on the Falcons.
6. Kansas City Chiefs: Rashee Rice (Last Week #16)
Three weeks into the season and Rashee Rice is looking like the bonafide stud that many expected him to be coming into his second NFL season. Mahomes’ favorite target on the outside snagged 12 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown.
5. Cincinnati Bengals: Ja'Marr Chase (Last Week #19)
Ja’Marr Chase wasn’t the problem this week as he had a big game, with six catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns. However, his individual effort wasn’t enough to carry the Bengals to a win, as they still struggled in other areas.
4. Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr. (Last Week #2)
Marvin Harrison Jr. came back down to earth this week but still managed to have a productive game. He finished with five receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown, proving he can still be a reliable weapon even when not at his best.
3. Seattle Seahawks: D.K. Metcalf (Last Week #6)
D.K. Metcalf’s ability to stretch the field was critical for the Seahawks. He snagged a 71-yard touchdown as part of his 105-yard outing. Metcalf gave Seattle an early lead, and his physical presence was a constant headache for Miami’s secondary all game.
2. New York Giants: Malik Nabers (Last Week #3)
Malik Nabers is quietly starting to look like one of the top young receivers in the game. He followed up last week’s breakout performance with eight catches for 78 yards and two scores on 12 targets. The chemistry he’s developing with his QB is palpable.
1. Minnesota Vikings: Justin Jefferson (Last Week #1)
Justin Jefferson didn’t have one of his absurd stat lines today, but the guy is flat-out dominant. He attracted all sorts of attention from the opposing secondary and still managed to catch a touchdown from Darnold. Jefferson snagged six of eight targets for 81 yards and a score, proving why he’s still the best WR in the league.
