Some signal-callers have elevated their squads this week with MVP-caliber performances, while others have left fans questioning their future. With the season hitting its stride, it’s time to rank all 32 NFL starting quarterbacks from worst to first, based on their Week 7 performances and their overall body of work.
Who are the top starting quarterbacks in the NFL after week 7 of games?
32. Cleveland Browns – Deshaun Watson (Last Week #31)
Welp, Deshaun Watson was officially put out of his misery in the form of a non-contact Achilles injury on Sunday that will likely cost him the rest of the season and, given his baggage, potentially, the rest of his career.
31. New Orleans Saints – Spencer Rattler (Last Week #24)
Spencer Rattler was thrust into a tough situation, making his second consecutive start for an injury-depleted offense, but his inability to protect the football was inexcusable if he wanted to find a job as a starter.
30. New York Giants – Daniel Jones (Last Week #27)
How many times do we have to say it? Daniel Jones is simply not the guy. He had another rough go of it in Week 7, and the Eagles pummeled the Giants 28-3.

29. Carolina Panthers – Andy Dalton (Last Week #26)
This was not Andy Dalton’s week, as the veteran signal-caller all but fell apart at the seams. He finished the outing with only 93 passing yards and surrendered two interceptions as the Panthers got absolutely pummeled.
28. Las Vegas Raiders – Aidan O'Connell (Last Week #30)
Aidan O’Connell wasn’t out there for long on Sunday, as he was chased from the action with an injury. His understudy, Gardner Minshew, struggled after being thrust into action, surrendering three interceptions and completing just 15 of 34 passes.
27. Miami Dolphins – Tyler Huntley (Last Week #29)
Tyler Huntley actually looked pretty good on Sunday prior to the injury that knocked him out of the game, as he completed seven of 13 passes for 87 yards and a score.

26. Tennessee Titans – Mason Rudolph (Not Ranked)
Mason Rudolph got the start in place of an injured Will Levis, but he couldn’t provide the spark the Titans desperately needed. He finished with 215 yards passing, one touchdown, and two turnovers.
25. Indianapolis Colts – Anthony Richardson (Not Ranked)
While it wasn’t pretty, Anthony Richardson returned from his hip injury and managed the contest effectively, even though he only completed 10 of 24 passes for 129 yards in the process.
24. Dallas Cowboys – Dak Prescott (bye) (Last Week #25)
It has been a season of ups and downs for Dak Prescott, most recently, downs, as Dak once again let his team down in a statement game against the Lions.
23. Jacksonville Jaguars – Trevor Lawrence (Last Week #28)
Trevor Lawrence had an efficient outing, completing 15 of 20 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown. He wasn’t asked to do too much, but this is a major improvement over what we have seen in recent weeks.
22. New York Jets – Aaron Rodgers (Last Week #20)
Rodgers’s struggles under pressure and the turnovers were too much to overcome, resulting in New York’s fourth consecutive loss. He netted 276 yards, but those interceptions were backbreaking.
21. Los Angeles Rams – Matthew Stafford (Last Week #19)
Matthew Stafford had a quiet game, finishing with 154 passing yards, but he managed the offense well, as one would expect, and avoided turnovers. Stafford’s role was more about controlling the tempo and making key throws when needed.
20. Atlanta Falcons – Kirk Cousins (Last Week #12)
Kirk Cousins had a day to forget. He struggled against Seattle’s resurgent defense, ending the game with two interceptions, three sacks, and a costly fumble that was returned for a touchdown.
19. San Francisco 49ers – Brock Purdy (Last Week #11)
Brock Purdy had a challenging outing against Kansas City’s defense, finishing with 212 passing yards and two rushing touchdowns but throwing three crucial interceptions. It seemed like every time they started to get some momentum going, and he would turn around and throw the ball to someone in a Chiefs jersey.
18. New England Patriots – Drake Maye (Last Week #21)
In a rather surprising turn of events, Drake Maye had a solid performance for a rookie quarterback in his second career start. He completed 26 of 37 passes for 276 yards with two touchdowns and, importantly, no interceptions — despite the Patriots’ weak offensive showing.
17. Denver Broncos – Bo Nix (Last Week #23)
While his 164 passing yards weren’t eye-popping, it was Nix’s dual-threat ability that stood out. He added 75 rushing yards, keeping the Saints’ defense on their heels all night.
16. Pittsburgh Steelers – Russell Wilson (Not Ranked)
Credit to Russell Wilson for shaking off some early rust and a hostile crowd to get a win in his first start with the Steelers. Wilson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, finishing with 264 passing yards on 16 of 29 attempts.
15. Arizona Cardinals – Kyler Murray (Last Week #15)
Kyler Murray was slow out of the gates against a strong, Jim Harbaugh-led Chargers defense, but he started to find some rhythm as the Monday Night Football matchup wore on. So far, the post-ACL campaign has gone reasonably well, all things considered.
14. Seattle Seahawks – Geno Smith (Last Week #16)
Geno Smith wasn’t lighting up the scoreboard, but he played smart, efficient football when it mattered most en route to a huge win. Smith completed 18 of 28 passes for 207 yards, connecting on two crucial touchdowns—including a perfectly placed 31-yard strike to DK Metcalf just before halftime.
13. Washington Commanders – Jayden Daniels (Last Week #5)
Tough afternoon for Commanders fans, who had to watch Jayden Daniels exit early with an injury. Fortunately, Marcus Mariota stepped in and delivered an impressive veteran performance, completing 18 of 23 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns.
12. Houston Texans – C.J. Stroud (Last Week #3)
C.J. Stroud had a tough outing, finishing with just 86 passing yards—his lowest total of the season. Very out of character for the second-year NFL starting quarterback, who always seems to rise to the occasion.
11. Chicago Bears – Caleb Williams (bye) (Last Week #13)
The No. 1 overall pick came into the NFL with sky-high expectations, and while the first couple of weeks were disappointing, he has really started to hit his stride as the Bears’ starting quarterback.
10. Los Angeles Chargers – Justin Herbert (Last Week #17)
The Chargers’ offense as a whole was quiet, and they missed a few key conversions early, but Justin Herbert has started to round into form in Jim Harbaugh’s system and is looking more like his All-Pro self again with 27 of 39 passing for 349 yards.
9. Minnesota Vikings – Sam Darnold (Last Week #8)
It wasn’t his best game of the season, but Sam Darnold did his part on Sunday. The journeyman turned fringe-franchise starting NFL quarterback completed 22 of 27 for 259 yards and a score, though his one interception did hurt Minnesota.
8. Philadelphia Eagles – Jalen Hurts (Last Week #14)
Jalen Hurts had a relatively quiet but efficient day, completing 10 of 14 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. Hurts showcased his unique physicality with two quarterback sneak touchdowns that helped to put this one away for Philly.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Baker Mayfield (Last Week #7)
Baker Mayfield has firmly established himself as the QB1 in Tampa Bay now, but if he wants to take this team to the next level, he has to find it in him to cut back on the turnovers, especially against top competition like the Ravens.
6. Cincinnati Bengals – Joe Burrow (Last Week #6)
While his numbers weren’t gaudy, as he finished 15 of 25 for 181 yards, Burrow did what he needed to do to secure the win and improve to 3-4 on the season and notched two touchdown passes in the process.
5. Buffalo Bills – Josh Allen (Last Week #10)
Josh Allen marked his 100th career start with a vintage performance, shaking off a slow first half to finish with 323 passing yards and two touchdowns.
4. Green Bay Packers – Jordan Love (Last Week #9)
Jordan Love showed resilience in a rollercoaster game. He threw two interceptions and had moments of inconsistency, but when it mattered most, Love delivered. He finished the day 23 of 31 for 214 yards and three touchdowns, then took his team down the field on the final drive to set up the game-winning field goal.
3. Kansas City Chiefs – Patrick Mahomes (Last Week #2)
Patrick Mahomes had a rough start, throwing two interceptions, but he showed why he’s one of the best in the league with some clutch plays when Kansas City needed them most, including that ridiculous scramble down the sideline to help put the game out of reach.
2. Detroit Lions – Jared Goff (Last Week #4)
Jared Goff was clinical and composed yet again in Week 7, going 22 of 25 for 280 yards and two touchdowns and minting a turnover-free performance.
1. Baltimore Ravens – Lamar Jackson (Last Week #1)
Lamar Jackson continues to impress as he makes his case for yet another MVP award. He was nearly perfect in the first half, as he helped the Ravens climb out of a 10-0 deficit. He finished with 281 yards on 17 of 22 passing with five touchdowns.
