With all of the injuries and emotions, this has been a wild season for NFL quarterbacks. After four weeks, we’ve seen plenty of action to give us a clearer picture of where each quarterback stands.
Some are rookies looking to make a name for themselves, veterans trying to recapture their magic, or established stars continuing their dominance, and there’s been a lot of movement in the quarterback rankings.
So, without further ado, let’s dive into the rankings and see how all 32 NFL starting quarterbacks stack up from worst to first after Week 4!
Who are the top quarterbacks in the NFL after week 4 of games?
32. Miami Dolphins: Tyler Huntley (Last Week #Not Ranked)
Tyler Huntley stepped in for an injured Skylar Thompson, who had stepped in for an injured Tua Tagovailoa, and he couldn’t get anything going against a rather mediocre Titans defense.
31. Tennessee Titans: Will Levis (Last Week #32)
Mason Rudolph took over after Will Levis was injured and played very conservatively, keeping the offense steady with a no-frills approach. He completed 9 of 17 passes for just 85 yards, but it was all about limiting mistakes and managing the game effectively, unlike Levis, who had already thrown an interception.

30. New England Patriots: Jacoby Brissett (Last Week #25)
Brissett went 19 for 32 for 168 yards and was sacked six times for 25 yards as New England continues to struggle with him under center. The Patriots quarterback has played an integral role in New England, getting held under 150 yards and passing in each of the first four games of the season for the first time since 1971.
29. Indianapolis Colts: Anthony Richardson (Last Week #29)
Another tough week for Anthony Richardson, who left the game twice in the span of four plays after getting drilled by the defense on designed runs. He had gotten off to a decent start, too, completing three of four attempts for 71 yards and adding 24 yards on the ground.
28. Cleveland Browns: Deshaun Watson (Last Week #30)
Deshaun Watson is simply not a good quarterback anymore. He completed 24 of 32 passes for 176 yards but was sacked three times, including a crucial sack by Charles Snowden on the final drive that dashed any hopes of a comeback.
27. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence (Last Week #27)
Trevor Lawrence looked better this week, converting two touchdowns, but the accuracy is still a huge concern, as he completed just 18 of 33 passes for 169 yards in the loss.

26. Denver Broncos: Bo Nix (Last Week #23)
Bo Nix’s first touchdown pass in the NFL may have taken a few games, but it couldn’t have come at a better time. Nix’s performance was far from dazzling — finishing just 12-of-25 for 60 yards — but he found Courtland Sutton in the back of the end zone when it counted.
25. Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert (Last Week #22)
Justin Herbert started hot despite battling a high ankle sprain, completing all seven of his passes in the first quarter. As the game wore on, his mobility issues became more evident, especially in the face of increased pressure. He finished 16 of 27 for 179 yards and a touchdown.
24. Las Vegas Raiders: Gardner Minshew (Last Week #24)
Antonio Pierce didn’t ask Gardner Minshew to do too much this week, but he managed the game well and really protected the football en route to a big W.
23. Carolina Panthers: Andy Dalton (Last Week #19)
Andy Dalton gave it his all, passing for 220 yards and two touchdowns against his former team in Bryce Young’s stead. It wasn’t at the same level as the week prior, but still a vast improvement over the aforementioned Young.
22. New York Giants: Daniel Jones (Last Week #26)
Daniel Jones had his best outing of the year so far, completing 29 of 40 passes for 281 yards. He connected especially well with his young targets, especially Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson, but was unable to execute in the red zone, as the Giants settled for five field goals, which cost them the game.
21. Atlanta Falcons: Kirk Cousins (Last Week #14)
Kirk Cousins didn’t exactly light it up, but he managed the game efficiently enough to keep his team in the game, and he did well on the last drive to set up Younghoe Koo for the game-winning field goal.
20. Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams (Last Week #28)
While he didn’t have the counting numbers he had the week before, Caleb Williams had a nice showing Sunday and showed much more poise than he had in previous weeks. He completed 17 of 23 passes for 157 yards and a score… And most importantly, no interceptions.
19. Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts (Last Week #13)
Things are starting to look bad for Jalen Hurts, who had a tough day, hampered by the absence of key receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
18. Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray (Last Week #11)
After a couple of hot weeks, Kyler Murray had a tough day, managing only 115 passing yards and a touchdown, as his offense sputtered.
17. Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford (Last Week #17)
Matthew Stafford had the deck stacked against him this week with his top two receivers, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, missing the game, but he looked solid for most of the contest. Stafford finished with 20 completions on 29 attempts for 224 yards but had zero touchdowns, and his interception on the final drive sealed the Rams’ fate.
16. New Orleans Saints: Derek Carr (Last Week #8)
Derek Carr had a respectable showing on Sunday, with a lot of questions asked of him, as the Saints quarterback completed 28 of 36 passes for 239 yards, but he surrendered a crucial pick and ultimately did not do enough to get his team the win.
15. New York Jets: Aaron Rodgers (Last Week #10)
Aaron Rodgers was clearly fighting through pain, with both legs dealing with “stuff,” as he so eloquently put it afterward. He finished 24-of-42 for 225 yards but couldn’t find the big play when he and his team needed it.
14. Seattle Seahawks: Geno Smith (Last Week #12)
Geno Smith threw for an impressive 395 yards, but he couldn’t muster up quite enough to get the job done on Monday Night Football. If he can improve his red zone and third-down efficiency, that would go a long way for the veteran NFL quarterback.
13. Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott (Last Week #15)
Dak Prescott played a clean game, completing 22 of 27 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, the 55-yarder to CeeDee Lamb being exactly what they needed to put space between them and the rival Giants. Credit to Prescott, who gets a lot of flack week to week, for effectively managing this game and getting his team a much-needed win.
12. Pittsburgh Steelers: Justin Fields (Last Week #16)
Obviously, he will have to cut out the fumbles, but Justin Fields looked really good this week, particularly in the second half. He went for over 300 yards passing and scored three touchdowns, one passing and two rushing.
11. Green Bay Packers: Jordan Love (Last Week #Not Ranked)
Jordan Love returned from injury and had an up-and-down performance, throwing for 389 yards and four touchdowns but also matching his career-high with three interceptions. He made some super impressive throws in the process and showcased why Green Bay was eager to invest in him long-term.
10. Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen (Last Week #2)
Josh Allen had a forgettable night, going 16 of 29 for 180 yards with no touchdowns, adding a costly fumble, marking the first chink in the armor for Allen’s MVP campaign.
9. San Francisco 49ers: Brock Purdy (Last Week #7)
Brock Purdy delivered when needed, overcoming early red zone struggles to find George Kittle for a spectacular TD before halftime. He finished the game with an impressive 288 yards passing and one touchdown, albeit with one interception.
8. Detroit Lions: Jared Goff (Last Week #20)
Jared Goff threw a perfect game, literally—setting an NFL record by completing all 18 of his passes, including two for touchdowns, for 292 yards.
7. Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson (Last Week #9)
Lamar Jackson’s command of the offense, whether through the air or on the ground, kept Buffalo guessing. He finished 13 for 18 for 156 yards passing and two touchdowns while adding another 54 yards on the ground.
6. Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels (Last Week #18)
Jayden Daniels continues to look like a star in the making. The rookie threw for 233 yards and a touchdown, added a highlight 9-yard rushing TD, and, perhaps more importantly, completed 26 of 30 passes, putting his accuracy on full display.
5. Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow (Last Week #3)
Joe Burrow put forth a gutsy performance this week in what was a must-win for his team. He completed 22 of 31 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.
4. Minnesota Vikings: Sam Darnold (Last Week #4)
Though his dreaded nemesis, the turnover bug, did make an appearance, Sam Darnold did more than enough to show that his renaissance is legit and to balance out the fumble and interception. The Vikings quarterback completed 20 of 28 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns.
3. Houston Texans: C.J. Stroud (Last Week #6)
C.J. Stroud was masterful on Sunday, throwing for 345 yards and two touchdowns. The icing on the cake? He orchestrated a clutch nine-play, 69-yard drive, hitting Dare Ogunbowale with a decisive one-yard TD that put Houston on top.
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Baker Mayfield (Last Week #5)
Baker Mayfield did what he does best and played with a chip on his shoulder this week, dropping 347 yards and two scores on the Eagles without a single interception. He also added a third touchdown on the ground.
1. Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes (Last Week #1)
Patrick Mahomes found himself down 10-0 early, but the reigning MVP wasn’t rattled. Passing for 245 yards and a touchdown, he relied heavily on his connection with Travis Kelce, who set the franchise record for career receptions during the game.
