There’s no hiding when you’re an NFL quarterback. Every snap, every throw, every decision is dissected under a microscope by coaches, fans, and media alike.
And we have been given quite a swath of data to dissect thus far this season. Let’s take a look around the NFL and rank the league’s quarterbacks from 32 to 1.
Who are the top-ranking quarterbacks in the NFL after week 13?
32. San Francisco 49ers: Brock Purdy (Last Week: Not Ranked)
Brock Purdy may have been rushed back from injury for this one because he did not look like himself. He completed just 11 of 18 passes in the snow for 94 yards.
31. New York Jets: Aaron Rodgers (Last Week: #29)
Another disastrous week for Aaron Rodgers, who had his moments, but man, that pick-six was a gut punch and all too emblematic of his Jets tenure.
30. Atlanta Falcons: Kirk Cousins (Last Week: #22)

Kirk Cousins’s four interceptions were the story of the game. While he threw for 245 yards, his decision-making—especially in the red zone—was costly.
29. Tennessee Titans: Will Levis (Last Week: #21)
Under constant pressure, Will Levis made too many mistakes, completing just 18 passes on 37 attempts, with all of his production coming well after Washington had the game in hand.
28. New York Giants: Drew Lock (Last Week: Not Ranked)
Drew Lock showed his athleticism with 57 rushing yards and a late touchdown. But turnovers and poor decision-making ultimately sunk him and the Giants.
27. New Orleans Saints: Derek Carr (Last Week: #24)
While the touchdown to Valdes-Scantling was nice, Derek Carr’s performance lacked the consistency that the Saints need and expect from him.
26. Dallas Cowboys: Cooper Rush (Last Week: #27)
Cooper Rush won’t be mistaken for Dak Prescott anytime soon, but he’s playing smart, mistake-free football, and he did what needed to be done to knock off the lowly Giants on Thanksgiving.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence (Last Week: Not Ranked)
Trevor Lawrence’s concussion was a gut punch after a strong start to the game. Backup NFL quarterback Mac Jones tried to rally the troops with two late touchdowns, but the damage was already done.
24. Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray (Last Week: #17)
Murray’s decision-making under pressure was a problem this week, and it may be the difference in Arizona’s ability to stay in the NFC West race.
23. New England Patriots: Drake Maye (Last Week: #26)
Drake Maye had an efficient outing for New England, completing 24 of 30 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown, but his red-zone struggles, including an interception at the goal line, were costly.
22. Indianapolis Colts: Anthony Richardson (Last Week: #23)
Anthony Richardson’s growth continues to be the story in Indianapolis. His final-drive heroics—a pinpoint touchdown pass and a gutsy 2-point run—showed why the Colts are all-in on him as their NFL quarterback of the future, while the overall stat line shows why they are so worried about him long-term.
21. Las Vegas Raiders: Aidan O’Connell (Last Week: Not Ranked)
Aidan O’Connell had a career night statistically, throwing for 340 yards and two touchdowns, but the botched snap on the final play will haunt him.
20. Carolina Panthers: Bryce Young (Last Week: #25)
It is hard to believe it, but Bryce Young looked legit out there this week. He completed 26 of 46 passes for just under 300 yards and a score and was a Chuba Hubbard fumble away from knocking off the Bucs.
19. Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams (Last Week: #20)
Caleb Williams has the tools to be a star in this league, but Thursday was a reminder that he’s still a rookie, as the clock management at the end of the game left a lot to be desired. Still, 20/39 for 256 yards and three scores with no interceptions was a very positive indicator.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Geno Smith (Last Week: #19)
Smith was efficient, going 20 of 31 for 206 yards and a touchdown to AJ Barner. While he didn’t light up the stat sheet, the star NFL quarterback kept the offense steady and avoided the critical mistakes that have been a recurring issue for him throughout this year.
17. Houston Texans: C.J. Stroud (Last Week: #18)
Stroud didn’t need to take over the game, but his ability to extend plays and hit key throws when it mattered should be encouraging for Texans fans who have been holding their breath a bit watching their second-year NFL quarterback in 2024.
16. Minnesota Vikings: Sam Darnold (Last Week: #16)
Sam Darnold is rewriting his NFL story, one comeback at a time. With 104 of his 235 passing yards coming in the fourth quarter, Darnold delivered when the Vikings needed him most, including a clutch game-winning touchdown to Aaron Jones.
15. Cleveland Browns: Jameis Winston (Last Week: #14)
Of course, there will always be ups and downs with Jameis Winston under center, but the Browns quarterback has undeniably breathed fresh life into this NFL team. He put together the ultimate Jameis Winston stat line on Monday Night Football with 34 of 58 completions for 497 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions.
14. Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford (Last Week: #12)
His 183 passing yards won’t turn heads, but Matthew Stafford delivered when the pressure was on, tossing two fourth-quarter touchdowns to complete a comeback victory.
13. Pittsburgh Steelers: Russell Wilson (Last Week: #15)
Russell Wilson cemented his place as the Steelers starter with his best performance in a Steelers uniform, torching the Bengals for 414 yards and three touchdowns in a big win over Cinci.
12. Green Bay Packers: Jordan Love (Last Week: #13)
With 274 yards on 21-of-28 passing and two touchdown strikes to Jayden Reed, Love looked poised and in complete control against Miami.
11. Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa (Last Week: #9)
Tua Tagovailoa put up numbers, but the well-known NFL quarterback spent most of the game running for his life. Five sacks and a shaky offensive line kept him from really executing.
10. Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels (Last Week: #11)
After a couple of tough weeks, Jayden Daniels looked every bit the Offensive Rookie of the Year favorite, throwing for 206 yards and three touchdowns while adding another score on the ground.
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Baker Mayfield (Last Week: #10)
Baker Mayfield showed grit, coming back from an ankle injury and showing a short memory on two interceptions to lead the Bucs on four critical scoring drives in the fourth quarter and overtime to deliver a critical win over the admittedly lowly Panthers.
8. Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert (Last Week: #5)
Not much was asked of Justin Herbert this week, but he did his job, protecting the football and getting the win.
7. Denver Broncos: Bo Nix (Last Week: #7)
I don’t know what Sean Payton’s been doing with Bo Nix behind the scenes, but, man, is it working, as the NFL rookie quarterback has come on strong in the second half of the season and found himself in pole position for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
6. Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts (Last Week: #8)
Jalen Hurts didn’t light up the stat sheet, but he delivered when it mattered most and protected the football.
5. Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes (Last Week: #6)
Patrick Mahomes was his usual dazzling self, throwing for 306 yards and a touchdown, breaking Len Dawson’s franchise record for career touchdown passes in the process.
4. Detroit Lions: Jared Goff (Last Week: #4)
While the star NFL quarterback didn’t light up the stat sheet, Goff’s command of the offense and leadership was on full display during the win over Chicago on Thanksgiving.
3. Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow (Last Week: #2)
Joe Burrow continues to put up MVP-caliber numbers—309 yards, three touchdowns—but it wasn’t enough.
2. Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson (Last Week: #1)
Even on a night when he didn’t have his best game, Lamar still managed to complete 23 of 36 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions and carried the ball eight times for 79 yards. MVP-level stuff for this superstar NFL quarterback.
1. Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen (Last Week: #3)
Josh Allen continues to make an MVP case of his own, as he did the unthinkable, notching a receiving and throwing touchdown on one ridiculous play during an impressive win against the 49ers.
