Week 16 is in the books. With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, let’s look around the league and see how every team’s starting quarterback compares.
32. Washington Commanders Sam Howell (Last Week #27)
Things have gone from bad to worse for Sam Howell, whose great start to 2023 feels like a distant memory. He completed six of 22 passes for 56 yards, before getting benched yet again for Jacoby Brissett.
31. Tennessee Titans Ryan Tannehill (Last Week N/A)
Whelp, that was a real stinker of a showing from Ryan Tannehill filling in for the injured Will Levis. The veteran quarterback looked like a shell of himself out there, completing 18 of 26 passes for 152 yards and no touchdowns.
30. New York Giants Tommy DeVito (Last Week #26)
Tommy DeVito actually didn’t look bad during Week 16. He missed a couple of guys open downfield in the first-half, as he seemed more interested in checking the ball down generally speaking, but Daboll didn’t give him many opportunities to stretch the field before he got benched in the second half.

29. New York Jets Trevor Siemian (Last Week N/A)
After a horrible showing from Zachc Wilson in Week 15, Trevor Sieman was slotted into starting duties this week against Washington. He ran the offense smoothly in the first half, but really lost his rhythm after halftime.
28. Houston Texans Case Keenum (Last Week #22)
It was not a good showing for Case Keenum in this one. He completed 11 of 17 passes for only for 62 yards and surrendered two interceptions, resulting in him getting benched for Davis Mills, which is never where you want to be.
27. Jacksonville Jaguars Trevor Lawrence (Last Week #18)
It is unclear if he was still facing side effects from his head injury or what, but Trevor Lawrence looked horrible against Tampa Bay this week. The Jaguars quarterback completed just 17 of 29 passes for 211 yards and one touchdown, while surrendering two picks.
26. Los Angeles Chargers Easton Stick (Last Week #30)
Easton Stick wasn’t stellar by any means, but credit to the Chargers backup for raising his level this week against the Bills. He finished with 23 completions on 33 attempts for 215—and the offense flowed reasonably well with him under center.
25. Las Vegas Raiders Aidan O’Connell (Last Week #21)
Aidan O’Connell got his Raiders a huge win on Monday, but he did so in honor of his former conference, the Big 10 West, as he finished with less than 10 attempts and only 52 yards passing.
24. Atlanta Falcons Taylor Heinicke (Last Week N/A)
Taylor Heinicke stepped in for Desmond Ridder this week and did all that the Falcons could’ve wanted him too from a game management perspective. He finished the game having completed 23 of 33 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions.
23. Carolina Panthers Bryce Young (Last Week #28)
What a showing from Bryce Young this week against a potentially playoff bound Packers defense. He completed 23 of 36 attempts for 312 yards, two touchdown—and most importantly no interceptions.
22. Seattle Seahawks Geno Smith (Last Week N/A)
Despite Drew Lock’s late-game heroics in week 15, the Seahawks decided to roll with their guy, Geno Smith, as he returned from injury against the Titans. Smith looked slightly limited still, but played fairly well, completing 25 of 36 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns in the critical win.
21. Denver Broncos Russell Wilson (Last Week #19)
Sad to say, but it looks like Russell Wilson’s time in Denver may be over after all. It looked like there was going to be a resurgence, but he, once again, has failed to deliver for the Broncos in a pivotal situation.
20. New England Patriots Bailey Zappe (Last Week #24)
Bailey Zappe did exactly what he’s beloved for in New England and pulled off another shocking, scrappy upset—this time against Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos. Zappe rallied after a tough start to the game to throw for 256 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions to secure a big win.
19. Minnesota Vikings Nick Mullens (Last Week #23)
Nick Muillens has embodied the gunslinger mentality in every sense of the word since he’s taken over as the starter in Minnesota. He went for an impressive 411 yards and two touchdowns against the Lions, but also surrendered four picks in the process.
18. New Orleans Saints Derek Carr (Last Week #17)
Derek Carr had a solid statistical showing on Thursday, going for 319 yards and three touchdowns to one interception, but most of the production came in garbage time and there simply seems to be something missing with his fit on the Saints offense.
17. Pittsburgh Steelers Mason Rudolph (Last Week #31)
What a glorious return to action it was for Mason Rudolph, who hadn’t started a game in the NFL since 2021. The Steelers latest starting quarterback had a monster game, carving up the Bengals for 290 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
16. Indianapolis Colts Gardner Minshew (Last Week #14)
Garnder Minshew took a big step back this week in a pivotal game for the Colts. Indy fell to 8 and 7, largely because of his lackluster performance. Minshew finished the game completing just 20 of 37 attempts with 0 touchdowns and one interception.
15. Cincinnati Bengals Jake Browning (Last Week #9)
It remains to be seen whether Week 16 was a momentary blip or a bad omen of what’s to come for Jake Browning, but Cinci’s QB1 did not have a good showing. He finished having completed 28 of 42 passes with three interceptions.
14. Arizona Cardinals Kyler Murray (Last Week #15)
Kyler Murray actually played pretty well on Sunday despite his team’s offensive woes… At least in the box score. The offense didn’t really move until the second half once the game was out of hand, but he did complete 24 of 38 for 230 yards and two scores with no interceptions while adding 32 yards on the ground.
13. Chicago Bears Justin Fields (Last Week #16)
Week 16 was a big one for Justin Fields, as many of his Bears teammates spoke out in defense of keeping the quarterback this upcoming offseason instead of trying to draft a quarterback. Fields played well to prove it too, going for 170 and a score through the air and adding 97 and another touchdown on the ground.
12. Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott (Last Week #10)
Dak Prescott played a little bit better this week than he did the prior, but it still wasn’t anything to write home about. Dallas’s QB1 missed several important throws in a game that could’ve been swayed by a little bit more consistency.
11. Green Bay Packers Jordan Love (Last Week #12)
Jordan Love had a super clean game in Week 16 against the Panthers, completing 17 of 28 attempts for 219 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. The Packers first-year starter was in command of the offense for most of the game.
10. Cleveland Browns Joe Flacco (Last Week #13)
Joe Flacco continues to deliver for the Browns in, honestly, a shocking fashion. The former Super Bowl-winning quarterback put up big numbers this week in a crucial game against the Texans. He racked up 368 passing yards and three touchdowns, though he does need to find a way to protect the football a little bit more as he tossed two more picks.
9. San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy (Last Week #1)
Brock Purdy’s hot streak came to a screeching halt this week against the Ravens as the “MVP candidate” threw four picks in an embarrassing loss on the national stage.
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield (Last Week #11)
Baker Mayfield has quietly been playing great football down the stretch of this season. The Buccaneers QB1 went 26 for 35 against Jacksonville to the tune of 283 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He has found a great rapport with Mike Evans of late, as the two hooked up seven times for 85 yards and two touchdowns.
7. Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes (Last Week #5)
Not what we are accustomed to seeing from Patrick Mahomes this week. The All-World quarterback made a few critical errors, including a pick-six, as his 27/44, 235 yard, one touchdown to one interception showing has some serious culpability in the Chiefs loss.
6. Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts (Last Week #7)
Jalen Hurts looked a lot more consistent throwing the ball downfield in Week 16 than he has of late. The Eagles star quarterback finished with 301 yards passing and one touchdown through the air to one INT—and managed to chip in an additional eight carries for 34 yards and a score.
5. Detroit Lions Jared Goff (Last Week #8)
Jared Goff played a clean game this week for Detroit, completing 30 of 40 attempts for 257 yards and a score with no interceptions, as the Lions clinched the NFC North for the first time in three decades.
4. Buffalo Bills Josh Allen (Last Week #4)
Josh Allen had another solid game in Week 16. He was relatively quiet passing the ball, as he only had 21 attempts for 237 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, but he also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
3. Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa (Last Week #3)
The Dolphins young quarterback had another efficient outing this week, this time, against the Cowboys. The former University of Alabama star completed 24 or 37 passes for 293 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions, helping Miami to a big, statement win.
2. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson (Last Week #6)
He did it through the air with 252 yards passing and two scores to no interception and he did it on the ground tacking on another seven for 45. Simply put, Lamar Jackson was a beast on Monday Night against a top-notch Niners defense.
1. Los Angeles Matthew Stafford (Last Week #2)
Crazy as it seems to say, Matthew Stafford is at the top of his game right now. He is routinely making cartoonish, backyard-style throws and has developed an insane rapport with rookie Puka Nacua. He posted another impressive stat line this week going for 328 yards and two touchdowns in the big win against the Saints.
