Week 14 is a wrap—and it was another crazy week of football. It is time to power rank the NFL’s signal callers.
32. Pittsburgh Steelers Mitch Trubisky (Last Week #28)
The 22 for 35, 190-yard, and 1:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio stat-line was mediocre to begin with, but man, if you watched the game on Thursday, it was so much worse.
Trubisky couldn’t get anything going—and he got bailed out on more than a couple of passes that looked like surefire interceptions.
31. Carolina Panthers Bryce Young (Last Week #30)
Well, it was another underwhelming week for Bryce Young in what has been a disastrous rookie campaign. He only managed 137 yards on 13 of 36 passing.
30. Atlanta Falcons Desmond Ridder (Last Week #29)

Desmond Ridder looked okay in the stat sheet this week—going for nearly 300 passing yards, but the Falcons quarterback made a ton of errors and folded down the stretch in a must-win divisional matchup with the Bucs.
29. Las Vegas Raiders Aidan O’Connell (Last Week #24)
So, maybe we can cool off with any of the remaining Aidan O’Connell hype… Or—even belief frankly. The Raiders need to take a quarterback in next year’s draft, O’Connell is nothing more than a backup.
28. Minnesota Vikings Joshua Dobbs (Last Week #20)
It was a tough afternoon for Joshua Dobbs against the Raiders, as the journeyman QB was all over the place accuracy-wise. He was held to 10 of 23 completions before getting benched for Nick Mullens, who eventually won the game for the Vikings late in the fourth.
27. Seattle Seahawks Drew Lock (Last Week N/A)
Expectations weren’t very high for Drew Lock this week, but the young quarterback did show flashes while pinch hitting for Geno Smith. Lock moved around fairly well in the pocket, completing 22 of 31 passes for 269 yards and two score, but is going to need to learn to protect the football if he ever wants to be a full-time starter in this league.
26. BYE Washington Commanders Sam Howell (Last Week #27)
After a hot start to season, Sam Howell has struggled of late. That said, there is still reason to be excited about the young quarterback, as he’s completed over 65% of his passes this year and is among the league leaders in passing yards, hovering around the top five.
25. Los Angeles Chargers Justin Herbert (Last Week #16)
Justin Herbert did not look good this week before getting knocked out of the game with an injury. The former Pro Bowler completed just 52.9 percent of his passes for 96 yards and surrendered only one interception.
24. New Orleans Saints Derek Carr (Last Week #17)
Derek Carr was quiet, but effective this week for the Saints. He converted 18 completions into just 119 yards, but two scores, with one interception.
23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield (Last Week #26)
Tampa Bay was impressive on offense this week against a tough Falcons defense. Baker Mayfield finished with an efficient 144 yards and two scores, but only 48.3 percent completion rate.
22. New England Patriots Bailey Zappe (Last Week 32)
That was the version of Bailey Zappe that Patriots fans first fell in love with last year when he burst onto the scene as an unheralded seventh-rounder. He made some impressive throws down the field and was able to protect the football for the most part.
When all was said and done he finished having completed 19 of 28 passes for 240 yards, three touchdowns and only one pick… in a winning effort too!
21. New York Jets Zach Wilson (Last Week N/A)
It isn’t clear exactly which chance number Zach Wilson is on with the Jets at this point, but credit to the second-year QB for balling out against a strong Texans side during it. He finished with 301 yards and two scores, with no interceptions in the potentially season-saving win.
20. New York Giants Tommy DeVito (Last Week #23)
Tommy DeVito has been playing better football of late, but I don’t think anyone is making the mistake of anointing him as the heir apparent in New York Brock Purdy style. That said, a win is a win—and he’s done more of that than anyone could’ve imagined he would’ve.
19. Indianapolis Colts Gardner Minshew (Last Week #14)
When it comes to Gardner Minshew, you have to take the good with the bad. He managed to complete 26 of 39 passes for 240 and one touchdown, but the offense stalled out more than Colts fans would’ve wanted it to and that inconsistency ultimately cost them the game.
18. Houston Texans C.J. Stroud (Last Week #9)
Week 14 was far and away the worst outing of C.J. Stroud’s young, promising career. The Jets defense gave the rookie issues all afternoon, holding him to 10 completions for 91 yards, and sacking him four times.
To make matters worse, he had to exit the game late after a nasty hit drove his head into the ground.
17. BYE Arizona Cardinals Kyler Murray (Last Week #15)
Kyler Murray stayed put this week with his Cardinals on the bye. He has looked solid since coming back from injury, but will have his work cut out for him next week when Nick Bosa and the San Francisco 49ers roll into town.
16. Green Bay Packers Jordan Love (Last Week #11)
Maybe we were a little quick to anoint Jordan Love. The loss wasn’t entirely on him, but the Packers offense did not look good on Monday Night.
15. Jacksonville Jaguars Trevor Lawrence (Last Week #12)
Trevor Lawrence didn’t look fully healthy this week and it seemed to hurt his accuracy. He completed just 28 of 50 attempts and surrendered three picks in the loss.
14. Tennessee Titans Will Levis (Last Week #21)
Will Levis had another solid showing for the Titans this week against a much-improved Dolphins defense. The rookie mistakes are still there, but he continues to put on display a very professional skillset—and going for over 300 yards and a touchdown on national television is a good sign!
13. Cleveland Browns Joe Flacco (Last Week #25)
Joe Flacco was stunningly impressive for the second week in a row since getting slotted into the starting job in Cleveland. The former Super Bowl MVP completed 26 of 45 passes for 311 yards and three touchdowns to just one interception.
12. Denver Broncos Russell Wilson (Last Week #18)
Russell Wilson looked good again this week, as he and the Broncos secured another big win. The former Super Bowl winner tossed 21 completions for two touchdowns to one interception.
11. Chicago Bears Justin Fields (Last Week #19)
After a year filled with whispers that Chicago might take a quarterback at the top of next year’s draft—Justin Fields is making a statement down the stretch of the 2023 season. He was instant offense for the Bears, going for 223 and one touchdown through the air and 58 and another score on the ground.
10. Detroit Lions Jared Goff (Last Week #4)
Jared Goff had a tough showing this week for the Lions. He took four sacks for 34 yards, and finished with just 161 yards and one touchdown, while surrendering two picks and one fumble.
9. Cincinnati Bengals Jake Browning (Last Week #22)
Once Joe Burrow went down with a season-ending injury, most around the league assumed that the Bengals playoff hopes were done. Jake Browning has really changed the narrative around this team though with another inspiring performance.
The 27-year-old was able to complete 75% of his passes for 275 yards and two scores to just one INT.
8. Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts (Last Week #5)
Week 14 was far and away the worst showing of Jalen Hurts’s season. The Eagles star quarterback completed just 18 of 27 passes for 197 yards and was held out of the endzone entirely.
7. Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes (Last Week #7)
While the interceptions are definitely starting to add up, Patrick Mahomes is still undeniably special. Some of the plays he made on Sunday were absolutely ridiculous and he’d have gone for over 300 yards had that epic, potentially game-winning play to Kelce and Toney not been controversially called back.
6. Los Angeles Matthew Stafford (Last Week #10)
Matthew Stafford was on fire again for the Rams in Week 14. The veteran quarterback turned 23 completions into 294 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
5. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson (Last Week #8)
Lamar Jackson was impressive for the Ravens this week, both through the air, where he turned 24 completions into 316 yards and three scores, and on the ground, where he tacked on an additional 70 yards on 11 carries.
4. Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa (Last Week #3)
Tua Tagovailoa was not at his best on Monday Night Football this week. His Dolphins stumbled in a game where they were double-digit favorites against a Titans defense that has struggled to put together complete games this year.
Miami’s signal caller finished having completed just 23 of 33 passes for 240 yards and no touchdowns.
3. Buffalo Bills Josh Allen (Last Week #6)
Josh Allen made some absolutely ridiculous throws on Sunday during Buffalo’s season-saving win against the Chiefs. He finished the afternoon with 233 yards passing, 32 yards rushing and a touchdown both ways.
2. San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy (Last Week #2)
Brock Purdy had another monster game this week for the 49ers. He completed over 70% of his passes and totaled just under 370 yards and added two scores to one INT in the win over Seattle.
1. Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott (Last Week #1)
Dak Prescott continued his stretch of torrid football this week, carving up the Eagles defense for 271 yards, two touchdowns, and again—zero interceptions. Dallas looks like a legit Super Bowl contender and the team’s signal caller deserves a lot of credit.
