Week 13 is finished and we have seen quite a few quarterbacks raising their level of play in recent weeks. With the playoff picture starting to take form, it is time to power rank every team’s quarterback.
32. New England Patriots Bailey Zappe (Last Week N/A)
So… It would appear that Bailey Zappe is not the answer in New England either… The Patriots offense was horrible Sunday and got shut out by the Chargers.
31. New York Jets Tim Boyle (Last Week #31)
Another terrible showing from Tim Boyle and the Jets offense this week. Boyle did, however, take it to new heights forcing the Jets to bench him mid-game for Trevor Siemian of all people.
30. Carolina Panthers Bryce Young (Last Week #30)
The bottom of the rankings this week went chalk again. Bryce Young stayed put at 30 after a terrible showing against the Bucs. Carolina’s rookie only managed to complete 15 of 31 passes for 178 yards with one interception against a weak Tampa team.

29. Atlanta Falcons Desmond Ridder (Last Week #28)
Desmond Ridder had a tough showing this week against the Jets. He did just enough to get the Falcons the win over a pathetic Jets team, but he did not look particularly good doing so, as he completed just 12 passes for 121 yards on the afternoon.
28. Pittsburgh Steelers Kenny Pickett (Last Week #26)
Week 13 was a tough one for Kenny Pickett. The Steelers second-year quarterback got off to a slow start, throwing for just 70 yards in the first half of the game before getting bounced from the action with an ankle injury.
27. Washington Commanders Sam Howell (Last Week #19)
It was another down week for Sam Howell, though to his credit he has gritted through some challenging circumstances of late. Regardless, it was not pretty against the Dolphins, as Howell completed just 12 of 23 passes for 127 yards, no touchdown, and tossed one pick.
26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield (Last Week #25)
Baker Mayfield’s performance on Sunday was not particularly inspiring. He did lead the Bucs to victory, but it was against a woefully bad Panthers team and he only managed to throw for 202 yards and one touchdown with one interception.
25. Cleveland Browns Joe Flacco (Last Week N/A)
Honestly, Joe Flacco looked pretty good considering he came off the couch to try and rescue the Browns quarterback situation after some time away from football. He was moving well in the pocket and made enough plays to keep the Browns offense moving and the team in the game for three quarters until they finally ran out of gas.
24. BYE Las Vegas Raiders Aidan O’Connell (Last Week #24)
Aidan O’Connell got a chance to rest up this week with the Raiders on the bye. Hopefully, he and the coaching staff cooked up an effective strategy because they are going to be facing a talented and scrappy Vikings team with its back against the wall in Week 14.
23. BYE New York Giants Tommy DeVito (Last Week #23)
Tommy DeVito had a chance to celebrate his hot stretch of play with the Giants on bye this week. With Daniel Jones sidelined for the rest of the year, it will likely be his show for the next few weeks. He’ll have his work cut out for him Monday Night hosting a red-hot Packers team.
22. Cincinnati Bengals Jake Browning (Last Week #27)
Jake Browning had an impressive showing for the Bengals on Monday Night Football. Obviously, he’ll never usurp Burrow, but he may be putting himself in a position to try and earn a job elsewhere.
21. Tennessee Titans Will Levis (Last Week #22)
With the exception of the six sacks he took, Will Levis played a good game Sunday against the Colts. You’d like to see the completion percentage get up over 50% but 224 yards and a touchdown is nice—plus he looked fairly confident running the offense for a rookie.
20. BYE Minnesota Vikings Joshua Dobbs (Last Week #21)
Joshua Dobbs is going to have a shot at redemption this week coming off the bye following the Vikings brutal Monday Night Football loss to the Bears. The journeyman quarterback needs to deliver a big performance in Week 14 against the Raiders, as the Vikings playoff push has virtually zero room for error remaining.
19. BYE Chicago Bears Justin Fields (Last Week #20)
Justin Fields slid up one slot on the bye week thanks to some weak performances around the league. The Bears quarterback should have a good chance to progress further in Week 14 against a bad Lions defense.
18. Denver Broncos Russell Wilson (Last Week #9)
Russell Wilson came back down to earth this week surrendering three picks in a back-breaking loss against the Texans that snapped their win streak and put their playoff push in jeopardy.
17. New Orleans Saints Derek Carr (Last Week #18)
Derek Carr was actually having a decent game before getting bounced with an injury against the Lions. New Orleans QB1 completed 17 of 22 for 226 yards and a score, though he did surrender a fumble and a pick in the process.
11. Los 16. Los Angeles Chargers Justin Herbert (Last Week #11) Chargers Justin Herbert (Last Week #9)
Justin Herbert was okay this week despite his team scoring just two field goals against a bad New England squad. He finished with 22 completions on 37 attempts for 212 yards.
15. Arizona Cardinals Kyler Murray (Last Week #17)
Kyler Murray was back in action this week and played well, stealing a win against a likely playoff team in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Arizona’s dual-threat quarterback gutted out a solid performance through bad conditions against a tough defense, finishing with 165 total yards and a much-needed touchdown.
14. Indianapolis Colts Gardner Minshew (Last Week #15)
Gardner Minshew has now delivered two huge wins for the Colts coming off the bye. The gutsy backup led the team on an epic game-winning drive in overtime to steal a W out from their AFC South rivals—the Tennessee Titans.
13. Seattle Seahawks Geno Smith (Last Week #16)
It may have come in a losing effort, but there is no denying that Geno Smith absolutely balled out this week against a strong Cowboys defense. The Seahawks quarterback led the league in passing with 334 yards and three touchdowns to only one interception.
12. Jacksonville Jaguars Trevor Lawrence (Last Week #12)
Trevor Lawrence had another solid showing this week, but it didn’t necessarily prove much as the Bengals are no longer a serious opponent with Joe Burrow being out for the season.
11. Green Bay Packers Jordan Love (Last Week #14)
Jordan Love shocked everyone this week and outdueled Patrick Mahomes on Sunday Night Football. Green Bay’s budding star completed 25 of 36 passes for an impressive 267 yards and three touchdowns with no turnovers.
10. Los Angeles Matthew Stafford (Last Week #13)
Matthew Stafford has had a very impressive year coming off his injury-riddled 2022 campaign. The veteran QB led L.A. to a must-win victory over the Browns, as they’ve now edged further back into the playoff picture.
9. Houston Texans C.J. Stroud (Last Week #7)
C.J. Stroud has done it again. Houston’s dynamic rookie quarterback led them to a huge win over the Broncos on the strength of his 274-yard, one-touchdown performance.
8. BYE Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson (Last Week #8)
Lamar Jackson stayed put this week with his team on a bye. That said, he is still easily one of the best quarterbacks in the league and has the Ravens in a great position heading into crunch time of the NFL season.
7. Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes (Last Week #2)
Granted, there are clearly some issues with the offense beyond Patrick Mahomes, but it was not the All-World quarterback’s best game, as he was largely outdueled by Jordan Love in the loss to Green Bay.
6. Buffalo Bills Josh Allen (Last Week #4)
Josh Allen had a chance to rest up this week with the Bills on a bye. Buffalo’s superstar quarterback will need to bring it down the stretch of the season though, because his team’s playoff hopes are very much hanging in the balance at this point.
5. Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts (Last Week #1)
Jalen Hurts put forth another gritty performance this week as he continues to play through a nagging knee injury. We went for just under 300 yards passing and one touchdown with no interceptions and added 20 yards and another score on the ground.
5. Detroit Lions Jared Goff (Last Week #7)
Jared Goff did a great job of taking what the New Orleans defense gave him and finding his playmakers this week. He and Sam LaPorta couldn’t be stopped all afternoon. Goff finished with 213 yards, two scores, and a 117.6 quarterback rating.
3. Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa (Last Week #6)
Tua had a monster week against the lowly Commanders. The Dolphins signal caller lit Washington up to the tune of 280 yards passing and two TDs with no interceptions.
2. San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy (Last Week #10)
Brock Purdy was nearly perfect again this week. The Niners QB played great in their biggest game of the year to date—against the Eagles. He completed 19 of 27 for 314 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions.
1. Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott (Last Week #3)
Dak may have very well made himself the front-running for league MVP honors this week posting another huge performance—this time against the Seahawks. He finished the game with 299 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions, and a 115.8 quarterback rating.
Better yet, Philly also lost, meaning that he has a chance to get the Cowboys back in first place in the division next week.
