We’re halfway through the 2024 season, and it’s time to see which NFL offenses are setting the league on fire — and which are barely making a spark. Let’s dive into the ranking of who’s rising, who’s fading, and where your team stacks up as we break down the best and worst offenses among NFL teams so far.
Which teams had the best-ranking offense in the entire NFL after week five?
32. New Orleans Saints: (Last Week #25)
This Saints offense looks lost without Derek Carr and was largely stifled by the Chargers defense all game.
31. Tennessee Titans: (Last Week #26)
Tennessee’s offense showed brief signs of life, especially in the first half, but mistakes and inconsistency derailed any chance they had to keep up with Detroit.
30. Carolina Panthers: (Last Week #32)
The Panthers offense looked better this week, but that really isn’t saying much. They finished with 14 points against an admittedly tough Broncos defense.

29. New York Giants: (Last Week #31)
Granted, the Giants offense is playing from behind the 8-ball with Daniel Jones under center, but we’d love to see more consistency out of this NFL and improve their rankings.
28. New York Jets: (Last Week #23)
Breece Hall ran well, and Rodgers had some big completions to Wilson, but missed kicks and a failed 2-point conversion left points on the board and cost the Jets the game, which may as well have been the nail in the coffin for New York.
27. New England Patriots: (Last Week #28)
This Patriots offense was gritty behind Jacoby Brissett, grinding out yards and executing when it counted. Rhamondre Stevenson capped it off with his second touchdown to snatch the win and the soul of Jets fans.

26. Seattle Seahawks: (Last Week #10)
The Seahawks offense looked flat and inefficient, noticeably missing the constant threat that DK Metcalf poses to opposing defenses.
25. Chicago Bears: (Last Week #14)
D’Andre Swift’s 56-yard touchdown run in the third was the lone bright spot, providing a brief spark to a mostly stagnant performance for the Bears offense.
24. Dallas Cowboys: (Last Week #24)
The Cowboys offense looked decent early on Sunday Night Football, but things fell apart fast. At least it was an improvement over Week 7, though that isn’t saying much.
23. Las Vegas Raiders: (Last Week #29)
The Raiders offense looked much improved this week behind Gardner Minshew, but the near complete lack of rushing attack has to be a concern on a growing list of many for Antonio Pierce.
22. Miami Dolphins: (Last Week #30)
Miami’s offense looked way better with Tua back under center. The Dolphins’ offense was the best it’s been all season, putting up 27 points and moving the ball efficiently.
21. Cincinnati Bengals: (Last Week #17)
That first drive was textbook, eating up 10 minutes and finishing with a TD to Chase. But after that? Not much to write home about for the Bengals offense in Week 8.
20. Cleveland Browns: (Last Week #27)
For a unit that’s been stagnant most of the season, the Browns offense came to play now that Deshaun Watson is out of the lineup. They racked up 29 points on a strong Ravens defense.
19. Los Angeles Rams: (Last Week #21)
With Kupp and Nacua back, the Rams offense looked reinvigorated, racking up 386 total yards and 30 points en route to a season-saving win.
18. Indianapolis Colts: (Last Week #19)
The Colts offense looked markedly different, with Jonathan Taylor back in the lineup. That said, until they start getting more consistency out of Anthony Richardson, this group is going to have a ceiling.
17. Jacksonville Jaguars: (Last Week #22)
This was one of the better showings we have seen from Jacksonville offensively. They racked up 27 points and just under 300 yards of offense, albeit in a losing effort.
16. Los Angeles Chargers: (Last Week #20)
Los Angeles wasn’t exactly explosive on Sunday, but they were methodical and effective, racking up 328 yards and 26 points for a big win.
15. Arizona Cardinals: (Last Week #18)
With back-to-back game-winning drives, this offense is gaining confidence and showing they can go toe-to-toe with anyone.
14. Houston Texans: (Last Week #11)
Houston’s offense leaned heavily on Joe Mixon, who ran for 102 yards, including a powerful 14-yard touchdown that showcased his playmaking, especially after Diggs went out with an injury.
13. Minnesota Vikings: (Last Week #6)
Thursday Night Football was a weird one for the Vikings offense. Minnesota started strong, scoring quickly, but tailed off and posted just two field goals after halftime.
12. Pittsburgh Steelers: (Last Week #13)
The Steelers offense looks surprisingly competent, especially with Russell Wilson under center. It seems like he has a second act in him, after all!
11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: (Last Week #5)
Baker Mayfield managed to keep Tampa within striking distance, but missed opportunities, including a critical turnover by White, kept the offense from taking control. The Bucs still managed 26 points and 432 total yards.
10. Denver Broncos: (Last Week #15)
Courtland Sutton notched his first 100-yard game in over a year, while the tight end duo of Nate Adkins and Adam Trautman each scored on National Tight Ends Day. Not to mention, it was a career day for Bo Nix. This was a big day for this NFL team’s offense.
9. Washington Commanders: (Last Week #3)
The Commanders’ offense was a bit inconsistent this week, relying heavily on field goals from Austin Seibert until the final miracle play, but it has proven they have quite a bit of upside with Jayden under center.
8. Atlanta Falcons: (Last Week #12)
This Falcons offense is finally firing on all cylinders. With Cousins distributing to playmakers like Kyle Pitts, who caught two long touchdowns, and Bijan Robinson, who added a score of his own, they showcased the kind of firepower that Falcons fans have been waiting for.
7. Green Bay Packers: (Last Week #8)
Josh Jacobs was unstoppable on the ground, racking up 127 yards with two touchdowns, and the two-headed monster of Jordan Love and Malik Willis got the job done under center as the team totaled 30 points.
6. San Francisco 49ers: (Last Week #16)
While the 49ers offense may have gotten off to a sluggish start on Sunday evening, they more than made up for it as the game wore on, playing the part of a heavyweight fighter and leaning on the Cowboys D until they broke.
5. Baltimore Ravens: (Last Week #1)
It is a little bit nitpicking because they played well all game, but Baltimore’s offense definitely left some points on the field and needed to convert a couple more opportunities in the second half.
4. Kansas City Chiefs: (Last Week #4)
Kansas City’s offense was efficient and balanced, converting 12 of 16 third downs and controlling possession with long drives that wore down the Raiders’ defense, allowing them to rack up 27 points with relative ease.
3. Philadelphia Eagles: (Last Week #9)
When Philly’s offense is in rhythm like this, they’re a nightmare. Racking up 397 total yards, they poured it on Cinci all game.
2. Buffalo Bills: (Last Week #7)
Buffalo’s offense was firing on all cylinders, with two long touchdown drives of over 90 yards and big-time performances from their key players en route to a 31-point outburst against Seattle.
1. Detroit Lions: (Last Week #2)
This offense is humming, scoring over 40 points for the fourth straight game. Every player on the roster seems to be getting a chance to shine, resulting in a balanced, explosive attack that keeps defenses on their heels, to put it lightly.
