Week 2 was a big week for moving and shaking in the NFL – especially for the offenses, as we saw a couple of wild performances.
How about we look around the league after Week 2 and rank all 32 offense callers from worst to first?
Which NFL teams had the best offense in the entire league after the second week of games?
32. Carolina Panthers (Last Week #32)
This Panthers offense is a disaster. They managed just seven first downs and 159 total yards, with most of that coming in garbage time when the Chargers were already in cruise control. Easily one of the worst units in the league.
31. Chicago Bears (Last Week #30)
One touchdown in two games? That’s not what anyone expected from the Bears’ offense heading into this season. Khalil Herbert punched in a 2-yard score, but outside of that, it was another day of frustration, largely due to their offensive line struggles and the downstream impact that’s had on their rookie quarterback.
30. Denver Broncos (Last Week #25)

Denver’s offense has not looked good thus far in the 2024 NFL season under supposed offensive genius Sean Payton. They lacked the firepower needed to put some big plays on the board and settled for far too many field goals.
29. Los Angeles Rams (Last Week #19)
The Rams’ offense was out of sync from the start, and the loss of Cooper Kupp in the second quarter only made things worse. When all was said and done, they had managed just 10 points, and those seemed to be out of pity or disinterest, frankly.
28. New York Giants (Last Week #28)
While Giants fans have to be enthused with what they saw out of Malik Nabers, the offense was way too inconsistent to get the win. As long as Daniel Jones is under center, it will remain a concern all season.
27. Tennessee Titans (Last Week #29)
There were a couple of big plays for the Titans this week—well, really, one. Calvin Ridley’s impressive 40-yard touchdown snag, but beyond that, their offense really struggled this NFL season. The turnovers were a huge concern, and the group generally looked disjointed and out of rhythm.

26. Indianapolis Colts (Last Week #16)
The Colts offense was out of sync for much of the game, largely due to the erratic play of their second-year NFL quarterback. Jonathan Taylor was a silver lining for Indy, though, as the former All-Pro had a strong game, rushing for 103 yards on 12 carries in the loss.
25. Cleveland Browns (Last Week #27)
Cleveland’s offense wasn’t exactly lighting up the scoreboard during their 18-point Week 2 performance against the Jags, but they did enough to get the job done. Dustin Hopkins was clutch, knocking down three field goals in a game where every point mattered, and Jerome Ford gave them some solid ground production with 64 yards.
24. Washington Commanders (Last Week #17)
While the Commanders struggled in the red zone, and the penalties are definitely something to monitor going forward, Austin Seibert’s seven field goals ensured Washington came away with points and was enough to get the Commanders the W.
23. New England Patriots (Last Week #26)
The Patriots offense has been surprisingly decent through two weeks this NFL season but is still a far cry from the glory days. They finished Sunday’s matchup with the Seahawks with 310 total yards and 20 points.
22. Jacksonville Jaguars (Last Week #23)
The Jaguars looked like an offense that couldn’t figure out how to break through all game against a tough Browns D. They didn’t score a touchdown until the third quarter and ultimately finished with just 13 points in the loss.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers (Last Week #24)
The Steelers didn’t light up the stat sheet, but the offense made the most of its chances and controlled the pace of the game the whole way through. They won’t be explosive with the way that Arthur Smith calls games, but they looked extremely competent with Justin Fields under center.
20. Dallas Cowboys (Last Week #7)
The Dallas offense never had a chance Sunday, as they fell into a hole they couldn’t climb out of. Prescott’s two interceptions were momentum-killers, and while the offense moved the ball decently at times, they lacked the rhythm needed to get back into this one.
19. Las Vegas Raiders (Last Week #22)
It took a while for the Raiders’ offense to find its rhythm against Baltimore, but once they did, they were unstoppable. Minshew-to-Adams looked like a dangerous connection in the making, with Adams hauling in nine catches for 110 yards and a score.
18. Cincinnati Bengals (Last Week #20)
The Bengals offense, which many expected to be a V8 engine this year, is only running on two cylinders thus far. That said, Week 2 was a major improvement, and they should benefit greatly from Tee Higgins’ expected return.
17. Seattle Seahawks (Last Week #14)
The Seahawks offense got off to a good start, scoring 17 points in the first half, then went dormant before squeaking out a couple of field goals in the fourth and overtime to knock off a scrappy Patriots team during their NFL clash.
16. Los Angeles Chargers (Last Week #21)
The Chargers’ offense was moving the ball at will against an admittedly bad Panthers defense. J.K. Dobbins absolutely shredded the Panthers’ defense for 131 yards, including an electrifying 43-yard touchdown run, and it felt like Herbert could’ve thrown for 300 if that had been part of the game plan.
15. Miami Dolphins (Last Week #12)
Week 2 was a disaster for Miami’s offense from start to finish. Tua’s three interceptions—including a brutal pick-six—sunk the Dolphins’ chances of keeping up with Buffalo. Never a good sign when Tyreek Hill is held to just 24 yards!
14. Philadelphia Eagles (Last Week #2)
The Eagles’ offense was good but not great on Monday Night Football. Philly lacked rhythm at times, especially in the second half when they needed key conversions to put the game away and hold off the rallying Falcons.
13. Green Bay Packers (Last Week #11)
There were major questions about the Packers’ offense heading into this one without Jordan Love, but Green Bay rose to the occasion on the strength of their offensive line play and run game.
12. New York Jets (Last Week #31)
While it wasn’t the offensive explosion that Jets fans have been waiting for their NFL team, Week 2 was a marked improvement for the New York offense. The offensive line looked much better, and Braelon Allen came up huge, scoring two touchdowns and becoming the youngest player since 1930 to score from scrimmage.
11. Baltimore Ravens (Last Week #15)
The Ravens’ passing game found some rhythm at points in the game, like when Lamar Jackson hit Zay Flowers for an 8-yard touchdown or when Derrick Henry came alive in the second half, but the offense was not consistent enough to get the W.
10. Atlanta Falcons (Last Week #18)
The Falcons offense looks like it is starting to hit that upswing that folks expected they might with a new level of competence under center in Kirk Cousins. His presence has really unlocked Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and the rest of those talented skill position players who were toiling away with Desmond Ridder at QB.
9. Detroit Lions (Last Week #9)
There shouldn’t be a ton of questions about Detroit’s offense long-term, as they did move the ball very well, notching 26 first downs in their NFL games. Unfortunately, they really struggled this week in the red zone, finishing 1 for seven and mustered just 16 points.
8. Minnesota Vikings (Last Week #13)
Sunday was a big day for the Vikings offense against a tough Niners D. They managed to put up 23 points and 374 yards, in part thanks to their high efficiency on third down, where they converted 58%.
7. San Francisco 49ers (Last Week #4)
The 49ers’ offense looked good on paper, with 406 total yards and 23 first downs, but they couldn’t get it done once they crossed over into enemy territory, settling for just 17 points in the process.
6. Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week #8)
The Chiefs’ offense still isn’t in top gear this NFL season, but they look vastly improved over last year and have weapons all over the field. The potential loss of Isiah Pacheco hurts, but with Mahomes under center, they should be able to manage until he returns.
5. Houston Texans (Last Week #6)
The Texans’ offense was held in relative check by a strong Chicago defense this week, as they totaled just 19 points, but they managed to muster up enough firepower to secure the victory.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Last Week #3)
While the Bucs would like to get their running game going more in an ideal world, they played well enough on the offensive side of the ball to knock off a very talented Lions team. Tampa’s offense was clutch and timely, and made it happen on Sunday!
3. Arizona Cardinals (Last Week #10)
The Cardinals’ offense came to play on Sunday night in the NFL. Kyler Murray spread the ball around well, but Harrison was clearly the focal point, catching two early touchdown passes to set the tone early. It wasn’t just an aerial attack, though, and it was not by a long shot. The Cards also compiled a massive 231 yards on the ground en route to a 41-point downpour.
2. Buffalo Bills (Last Week #5)
Buffalo’s offense didn’t need to do anything crazy with their defense handing them the ball on a silver platter all game, but man, did they execute. James Cook was the star of the show, catching a touchdown pass and adding two more on the ground, including an electric 49-yard run.
1. New Orleans Saints (Last Week #1)
The Saints’ offense was unstoppable on Sunday and fired on all cylinders, scoring touchdowns on their first six drives and racking up 432 total yards, in part thanks to big days from Alvin Kamara, Derek Carr, and Rashid Shaheed.
