Now past the halfway point of the regular season, the 2024 NFL postseason race isn’t the only thing heating up. So is the race for the first-overall pick, which 11 teams suddenly have a realistic shot at.
Fasten your seatbelts because more chaos awaits for Week 11. We’ve got a new No. 32 and a new no. 1 or this week’s power rankings, so let’s dive right into it.
Which teams are at the top of the NFL power rankings after week 10?
32. Jacksonville Jaguars (30)
Mac Jones wasn’t up for the challenge of replacing an injured Trevor Lawrence. 111 passing yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions, and just seven points in a 12-7 loss to Minnesota.
The Vikings’ QB threw three interceptions, and the Jags still lost. On the bright side, they just put themselves in the driver’s seat for the Travis Hunter sweepstakes. Giddy up!
31. Tennessee Titans (28)
Poor Will Levis never stood a chance behind the Los Angeles Chargers’ stingy defense. Though he threw two TDs, Levis was sacked seven times and got little help from his defense in a 27-17 loss.

The silver lining for Tennessee is that three other bottom-feeders lost this week, so their chances of getting the NFL’s No. 1 pick just increased. And to think they face the Jags twice in December!
30. Las Vegas Raiders (29)
Losers of five straight, Antonio Pierce Raiders’ got a much-needed bye week ahead of Sunday’s road clash with the Miami Dolphins.
But there’s no reason to believe that the Raiders are going to improve over the final stretch of the season. Truth be told, Raiders fans are better off cheering for a tank job and the opportunity to draft Carson Beck or Shedeur Sanders.
29. New York Giants (27)
How low can they go? Well, an overtime loss against a very beatable and equally bad Carolina team might be rock bottom.
The Giants lost five straight before heading into their Week 11 bye. Looking at the remaining schedule, it’s not a stretch to think they’ll lose out and finish 3-14. Then again, that wouldn’t be a bad thing if they finish with a top-five pick and actually move on from Daniel Jones.
28. Cleveland Browns (25)
Kevin Stefanski’s hapless squad got to enjoy a bye week while watching multiple contenders for the NFL’s first-overall selection pick-up wins on Sunday. Throw in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ scorching start, and it hasn’t been such a bad sports week in Cleveland, huh?
The Browns are back in action against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
27. New England Patriots (32)
Jerod Mayo’s Pats put together their best game in Chicago on Sunday, handily defeating Caleb Williams’ Bears 19-3 at Soldier Field.
Caleb was sacked nine times. Maye’s play was “meh” at best, but the Patriots won the old-fashioned way with defense and a potent ground game that racked up 144 yards.
Hey, with wins over the Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Jets, these Pats have sure enjoyed the spoiler role!

26. Carolina Panthers (31)
The Giants and New Orleans Saints aren’t world-beaters, but a struggling franchise like Carolina will take wins however they can get em. Now, the victors of two straight, Carolina, have already topped last year’s win total.
Days after signing a multi-year extension, Chuba Hubbard rushed for 153 yards and a TD to lead Carolina past the G-Men in Germany. Suddenly, they look like a team that might not even finish with a top-three pick.
25. New York Jets (23)
In case you were a believer…now it’s definitely 100 percent over. Their Halloween night win over the Houston Texans was a mirage. The Jets stink. Stick a fork in ‘em.
The Jets were no contest for Kyler Murray’s Arizona Cardinals, who kept Aaron Rodgers and company out of the end zone with a 31-6 blowout victory. Is anyone else wondering if Rodgers might retire after this year? I mean, what could possibly make him wanna come back for this hot garbage next year?
24. Dallas Cowboys (22)
We knew the Cowboys were never going to beat the Philadelphia Eagles without Dak Prescott, but that was a whole new level of ugly on Sunday.
Dallas was outclassed 34-6 on their home turf by Jalen Hurts and company. If this wasn’t sad enough? Well, Jerry Jones’ refusal to put up curtains at AT&T Stadium cost NFL star receiver CeeDee Lamb a gimme touchdown…so yeah.
Side note: How has going “all-in” worked this year, Jerry? Ever realize you might be the problem in Dallas?
23. New Orleans Saints (26)
No, the Saints aren’t about to run the table and make the playoffs. But Sunday’s 20-17 win over the archrival Atlanta Falcons had to feel REAL good for Derek Carr and company to finally snap a seven-game losings kid.
Darren Rizzi looked like 10 times the coach Dennis Allen is in his debut. As we kept saying, Allen was clearly an issue and lost the locker room. If the Saints continue to play like this down the stretch, maybe the roster won’t need as much of an overhaul as we thought…
22. Miami Dolphins (24)
It wasn’t pretty, but Mike McDaniel’s Dolphins slugged out a sloppy 23-15 win over the Rams to end a three-game losing skid.
Miami’s two games behind Denver for the AFC’s final playoff spot. They probably have to go 7-1 to have any shot at the playoffs. The good news? Not impossible with a healthy offense and a manageable schedule to close out the year.
21. Indianapolis Colts (21)
So the Colts’ genius plan of benching Anthony Richardson for Joe Flacco has led to two straight losses. Genius move, guys!
The funny part is that even at 4-6, the Colts are far from dead. They’re just one game out of the final NFL playoff spot in the AFC, and they only have one game left against a team above .500. So, as bad as it’s been these last three weeks, don’t count ‘em out just yet.
Especially if they go back to Richardson…
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (20)
You gotta feel for Baker Mayfield and the Bucs. If they had one of Mike Evans or Chris Godwin healthy, they probably beat both Kansas City and San Franciso. The D gave them every chance to win, but Mayfield just didn’t have the weapons to close the games out.
At 4-6, the Bucs’ season is on thin ice. If fans need any hope, well, the Chargers are the only team above .500 that remains on Tampa’s schedule.
19. Chicago Bears (18)
Yikes. Losing to the hapless Patriots 19 to 3 on your home turf? Ya, that won’t put you in the playoffs.
The good vibes of the Bears’ 4-2 start are long gone. Three straight losses, with an average of nine points per game during the skid. Uh, wasn’t the offense supposed to be better than this? Looks to us like the Bears have given up on their coach!
18. Seattle Seahawks (19)
Safe to say that the Seahawks’ bye week came at the perfect time, having lost five of their last six. We’re not overly confident in their ability to do so, but this NFL team basically needs to beat San Fran and Arizona these next two weeks to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
We’re about to see what Mike Macdonald’s group is made of.
17. Cincinnati Bengals (17)
Joe Burrow is perilously entering Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers territory. That is, putting up MVP-like numbers during your previous years but being let down by your defense more often than not.
820 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and one interception in two games against the Baltimore Ravens for Burrow this season. The Bengals lost both games. Go figure.
Yet somehow, they’re just one game behind Denver for the AFC’s final playoff spot. It’s not over yet, Cincy. But it’s now or never for this defense to wake up and do its job.
16. Los Angeles Rams (16)
We’d like to lower the Rams after that stinker against Miami on Sunday night, but they shall consider themselves lucky that the teams right below them fared no better.
Matt Stafford had an off day against Miami, and the high-powered Rams offense failed to find the end zone once in a 23-15 loss. It was a big blow to their NFC West hopes, but at least they have a get-right game in New England this Sunday.
15. Denver Broncos (13)
In most cases, losing to the Chiefs should bear no shame. But the Broncos’ special teams really couldn’t just perform standard blocking for Wil Lutz’s game-winning 35-yard field goal attempt? Of course not.
Just a brutal way for Denver to lose after playing near-flawless football in Kansas City. Not only does their losing streak in KC extend to nine games, but they wasted a golden opportunity to distance themselves from the other wild-card hopefuls in the AFC.
They HAVE to rebound and take this game against Atlanta on Sunday.
14. Houston Texans (11)
The Texans are going to win the AFC South easily, but it might be time to remove them from the “Super Bowl contenders” list.
One week after choking against Aaron Rodgers’ Jets on Halloween night, the Texans blew a 16-point lead to the Detroit Lions and fell by three points despite picking off Jared Goff five times!
Nico Collins can’t get back here soon enough because the offense has been completely lost without him and star NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs…
13. Atlanta Falcons (10)
The Falcons handed that one to the Saints on a silver platter, alright. A costly interception by Kirk Cousins, horrible clock management on the game’s final drive, and three missed kicks by the ultra-reliable Younghoe Koo.
This had “trap game” written all over it, and the Saints were due for a win after seven straight disheartening losses. The good news for Atlanta is that the Bucs also lost, so they still have the NFC South on cruise control.
12. San Francisco 49ers (15)
Christian McCaffrey’s long-awaited return sparked the 49ers offense and propelled them to a potential season-saving victory in Tampa on Sunday…despite three missed field goals by Jake Moody.
The 49ers aren’t playing pretty football these days, but might they stop playing down to their opponents with Run CMC back in the fold? It’s a four-way race for the NFC West, but their star power and experience tells us that it’s still San Fran’s division to lose.
With the Seahawks, Packers, and Bills marking the 49ers’ next three games, it’s truly go-time for Kyle Shanahan and company.
11. Arizona Cardinals (14)
The Cardinals placed the final nail in the coffin of Aaron Rodgers’ Jets, cruising to a 31-6 blowout victory that extends their winning streak to four.
Arizona has held opponents to 17 points or less in three of the last four games, asserting themselves as legitimate players for the NFC West crown. Kyler Murray and company head into the bye week playing as good as anybody, with a trip to Seattle next on the schedule.
10. Los Angeles Chargers (12)
Jim Harbaugh’s Bolts rode the ground game and the NFL’s No. 1 defense to an easy home win over the punchless Titans and improved to 6-3.
Winners of three straight, the Bolts are comfortably in a playoff spot and feel like a safe bet to get in now, thanks to losses by the Colts, Bengals and Broncos on Sunday. Things are about to get tough, though, with the Bengals, Ravens, Falcons, and Chiefs making up their next four games.
9. Green Bay Packers (9)
Matt LaFleur’s Packers were on a bye week following their ugly home loss to the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field. They’ll try to push themselves closer to a playoff berth with a visit against Caleb Williams and the slumping Bears on Sunday.
8. Washington Commanders (4)
Sunday’s showdown with Pittsburgh featured two elite teams with similar strengths. There was only room for one winner, so we won’t harp too much on the Commanders for losing to a top dog in the AFC by one point.
Jayden Daniels had an off day. It happens. But he’s gotta bounce back in Philly on a short week because a loss would significantly damper Washington’s chances of winning the NFC East.
7. Minnesota Vikings (8)
It was way closer than it should have been, but the Vikings barely escaped Duval County with a 12-7 victory over the Jaguars. Hey, you take a W; however you can get ‘em in the NFL.
Minnesota is keeping pace with the Lions for the NFC’s top seed, and don’t forget they still have one more showdown in Detroit in Week 18. For now, the focus is on a practical GIMME win against Tennessee.
6. Philadelphia Eagles (7)
The Eagles had no issue beating down the Dak Prescott-less Cowboys, marking their first win at Jerry World since 2017.
While most of the credit goes to Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, don’t sleep on a defense that’s allowing just 13 points per game during their five-game winning streak. Thursday night against Washington should be a dandy, alright.
5. Baltimore Ravens (6)
The Ravens survived a scare against Joe Burrow’s Bengals to complete the season-series sweep. The good news is that the Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry-led offense has been borderline unstoppable.
The bad news is that this defense still can’t stop a nosebleed. If that doesn’t change soon, it’ll be hard to view Baltimore as a real threat to Kansas City come playoff time. Let’s see if the D can finally get going with Russell Wilson and the Steelers next on the schedule.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers (5)
If you needed confirmation that the Steelers are for real, a thrilling comeback road win against the red-hot Commanders will suffice.
Russell Wilson is now 3-0 as the Steelers’ starting NFL QB. For those who still don’t buy their offense, well, that’s four straight games of 26-plus points. A win over Baltimore this Sunday will push the Steelers that much closer to the AFC North division crown.
3. Buffalo Bills (3)
That’s now five straight wins for Sean McDermott’s Bills, who have the AFC East locked up with seven games to go.
Of course, the real games begin for Buffalo in January. They can try to make one more regular-season statement when they welcome old nemesis Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City to Buffalo this Sunday.
Buffalo really needs this one if they’re to somehow catch KC for the AFC’s top seed and a first-round bye, so fasten your seatbelts, Bills Mafia.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (1)
Death, taxes, and the Chiefs finding new ways to win…
Just when it looked like the Broncos were about to end the Chiefs’ bid for an undefeated season, Kansas City blocked Wil Lutz’s game-winning 35-yard field goal attempt on the final play.
Does it matter if the Chiefs D struggled in the first half? Or if Patrick Mahomes has an off game? Of course not. It’s not pretty, but like last year’s group, they just keep pulling off a new Houdini-like act to win.
1. Detroit Lions
Like we said, a new No. 1!
Jared Goff threw five interceptions against a stingy Houston defense on Sunday night, and his Lions still won! That’s as gutsy as it gets, folks.
The Lions D gave up zero second-half points to CJ Stroud and company. Goff showed brilliant resilience and mental toughness to help Detroit pull off, perhaps, their biggest statement win of 2024.
The Chiefs are undefeated, but the Lions are the NFL’s most complete team heading into Week 11.
