With the conclusion of the Lions-Raiders edition of Monday Night Football, Week 8 is officially closed out. Let’s have a look around the league and assess where every NFL team’s offense ranks.
32. New York Giants (Last Week #30)
Granted, the deck was stacked against New York with Tyrod Taylor going out—pushing them to their third-stringer, Tommy Devito. Saquon balled out, but it is tough to win a game with -9 rushing yards.
31. Green Bay Packers (Last Week #23)
This Green Bay Packers team is bad across the board, but its offense is particularly frustrating to watch. Jordan Love looks completely overmatched and the rushing attack is essentially non-existent.
30. Las Vegas Raiders (Last Week #29)
The Raiders were relieved to have Jimmy Garoppolo back in the mix, but let’s face it this is not a good offense, despite its marquee names.

29. New England Patriots (Last Week #28)
Back to the same old for the New England Patriots… They managed just 218 yards of total offense and went one of nine on third-down conversions, resulting in a disappointing 17-point output.
28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Last Week #24)
After a promising start to the season, this Buccaneers offense is starting to fall apart. Baker was okay, but their drives stall out far too often and the running game has been abysmal. 78 rushing yards isn’t nearly enough to set up Baker and the Tampa Bay offense to run an effective play-action passing game.
27. Carolina Panthers (Last Week #25)
The Panthers may have gotten their first win of the season this week, but the offense still didn’t look great if we are being honest. Carolina totaled just 224 yards and 15 points, while Bryce Young continues to play very much like a rookie.
26. Arizona Cardinals (Last Week #32)
Arizona may have put up 24 points in this one and made it a one-score game, but make no mistake about it—this is a bad offensive team. 17 of the Cardinals’ points came in the fourth quarter once Baltimore had clearly taken its foot off the gas.
25. Atlanta Falcons (Last Week #31)
Atlanta’s offense looks like it might have found something with Taylor Heinicke, after finally saying enough was enough to the Desmond Ridder experiment at halftime. Let’s see what the former Commanders cult hero can do if he’s given the opportunity to start next week.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers (Last Week #24)
Despite high optimism heading into the week, the Steelers fell apart offensively against the Jaguars. Granted, Kenny Pickett got bounced from action due to an injury and Mitch Trubisky didn’t seem ready to play, but Pittsburgh seemed to have nothing going regardless of who was under center.
23. Los Angeles Rams (Last Week #19)
The Rams were run off the field by Dallas this week. L.A. limped its way to 20 points on the strength of four of 13 3rd down efficiency in a game that was never close.
22. New York Jets (Last Week #12)
Zach Wilson was able to pull a rabbit out of his hat late in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but man did the Jets offense struggle. To be fair, the injuries on the offensive line put them in a tough spot, but they will have to get that sorted out ASAP if they want keep pace in the AFC East.
21. Denver Broncos (Last Week #22)
The Broncos weren’t exactly explosive offensively on Sunday, but they were competent, which is more than you could say about them for the first chunk of this season. Russell Wilson was steady all afternoon and seems to be finally getting on the same page with Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.
20. Chicago Bears (Last Week #18)
The Bears had nothing going offensively on Sunday Night Football. Tyson Bagent was overmatched by the Chargers D, completing 25 of 28 for 232 passes and surrendered two interceptions.
19. Houston Texans (Last Week #10)
This was probably CJ Stroud’s worst start of his NFL young career. The Texans looked lost coming off the bye and put up just 10 points against what’s been a terrible Panthers defense.
18. Tennessee Titans (Last Week #27)
The Titans were absolutely balling this week thanks to a fantastic NFL debut from Will Levis. He looked steady and efficient, completing 19 of 29 passes for 238 yards and four scores.
Tennessee’s stars also showed up this week. Derrick Henry went over 100 yards and D-Hop caught four passes for 128 and three scores.
17. Cleveland Browns (Last Week #15)
Considering all of the injuries they have, the Browns offense looked respectable this week, though it is far from a unit ready to contend come playoff time.
16. Washington Commanders (Last Week #26)
Washington was moving the ball very well offensively this week. Sam Howell had a big game completing 39 of 52 passes for four scores, while only surrendering one pick. Unfortunately, the defense couldn’t hold and 31 points ended up not being enough to best the Eagles.
15. Indianapolis Colts (Last Week #16)
Gardner Minshew and the Colts were solid on the offensive side of the ball, but 27 points was not enough against New Orleans this week. That said, the return of Jonathan Taylor has been crucial for them and they are still in the mix in a weak AFC South.
14. Minnesota Vikings (Last Week #20)
The Vikings are really rolling now, despite Jordan Jefferson’s injury-related absence. Kirk Cousins has been moving the ball down the field and is starting to build some legitimate rapport with Jordan Addison.
13. Buffalo Bills (Last Week #7)
Buffalo was good, but not great offensively on Thursday Night Football. Josh Allen played very well though and filled in the gaps for the rest of that unit.
12. New Orleans Saints (Last Week #17)
After looking like one of the most boring offenses in the league all season, New Orleans erupted this week. The Saints put up 38 points and Rashid Shaheed was electric taking three receptions for 153 yards and a score.
11. Seattle Seahawks (Last Week #13)
Seattle had a very balanced attack Week 8 against a stout Browns defense. Geno made some spectacular throws, but he’ll need to protect the football better if the Seahawks wanted to be treated like a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
10. Detroit Lions (Last Week #11)
Detroit’s offense did well to get back on track this week against a weak Raiders defense. Jahmyr Gibbs was great in David Montgomery’s absence and while Jared Goff wasn’t quite in MVP candidate form, he was much improved his stinker against the Ravens.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars (Last Week #8)
Travis Etienne is really stepping up for this Jaguars group and putting their offense on the map. He had another big week, going for 149 yards from scrimmage and one score.
8. Dallas Cowboys (Last Week #14)
Dallas looked extremely explosive on offense coming out of the bye week, as it dropped a massive 43-point performance on Sean McVay’s Rams.
7. San Francisco 49ers (Last Week #5)
While Christian McCaffrey has continued his torrid pace, the rest of the Niners offense still looks a little bit out of wack, perhaps due to Deebo Samuel’s absence.
6. Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week #1)
Not the best showing out of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense this week. The star quarterback was battling the flu and looked to be somewhat impacted throughout, though, this one is still more to blame on the receivers. Mecole Hardman muffed a punt and Skyy Moore had a touchdown fall right through his hands—both at a critical juncture in the game.
5. Los Angeles Chargers (Last Week #6)
Though it must be taken with a grain of salt because it came against the Chicago Bears, the Chargers finally looked like the team we expected this year on the offensive side of the ball.
4. Cincinnati Bengals (Last Week #9)
Joe Burrow and the Bengals were unstoppable offensively this week against one of the top defenses in the league—San Francisco. It looks like Burrow’s calf is finally healed up and the Bengals could spell trouble for the rest of the league down the stretch of this season.
3. Baltimore Ravens (Last Week #3)
The good times kept rolling for Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens this week. They effortlessly put up 31 points on Arizona and are finally getting some consistent play out of the running back position. Gus Edwards had himself a day, scoring three touchdowns and totaling 80 yards on 19 carries.
2. Miami Dolphins (Last Week #4)
Miami had no problem moving the ball against the New England defense this week. Tua was great all afternoon and they went for 390 yards and 31 points in a convincing victory.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (Last Week #2)
The Eagles got off to a slow start this week against Washington, but once they woke up there was no stopping them offensively. Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown had another monster week, connecting eight times for 130 yards and two scores in route to a 38-point performance.
