Passing has become the focal point of most NFL offenses and with that comes an increased focus on the output from a team’s top receiver. Let’s take a look around the league and see how all the top pass-catchers stack up.
32. Atlanta Falcons Drake London
It is hard to criticize London because he doesn’t really have a quarterback and the Falcons don’t really like to throw the ball a ton, but a wide receiver 1 can’t have less than 100 receiving yards through three weeks.
31. New York Giants Darius Slayton
Things are looking bleak across the Giants offense as a whole and WR1 is a big reason why. Darius Slayton has been a non-factor through three games catching just nine passes for a cumulative 109 yards.
30. New England Patriots Devante Parker
Devante Parker and Mac Jones simply cannot get on the same page. Eight catches for 76 yards is embarrassing for both Parker and his quarterback.

29. Kansas City Chiefs Skyy Moore
Skyy Moore has played decently through the first three games of his NFL career, but when you get the opportunity to catch passes from Patrick Mahomes, people are going to expect a little more than seven receptions for 112 yards across three games.
28. Carolina Panthers DJ Chark Jr.
With the exception of one big, 47-yard touchdown catch, DJ Chark has been a ghost this year in a bad Panthers offense.
27. Chicago Bears DJ Moore
The DJ Moore acquisition hasn’t gone as planned for Chicago. The Bears offense has been terrible and Moore looks like he’s already growing disgruntled with the situation in the Windy City.
26. New Orleans Saints Michael Thomas
This is supposed to be the year that Michael Thomas is finally back to his old self. It has been better, but we still aren’t really seeing it.
25. Baltimore Ravens Zay Flowers
With OBJ going down, Zay Flowers is going to need to step up. The rookie receiver has played okay so far, but not to the standard of his pedigree or the role Baltimore has him in.
24. Tennessee Titans Deandre Hopkins
The lukewarm market for Deandre Hopkins this offseason was puzzling at first, but after seeing his production so far this year, it is possible that the once perennial Pro Bowler is washed up.
23. Denver Broncos Courtland Sutton
Courtland Sutton has played pretty well considering the chaos that continues to swirl around the Broncos and their embattled quarterback, Russell Wilson.
Sutton has already gotten in the endzone twice and is averaging over 11 yards per catch.
22. Jacksonville Jaguars Calvin Ridley
2023 hasn’t been the massive resurgence for Calvin Ridley that people expected, but the receiver has been decent in his return from suspension, averaging 13.3 yards per reception and scoring one touchdown.
21. Arizona Cardinals Marquise Brown
Brown has been a stabilizing factor in a Kyler Murray-less Cardinals offense, catching 14 passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns despite having to catch passes from Joshua Dobbs.
20. Green Bay Packers Romeo Doubs
If Doubs can start getting open more consistently and rack up more catches for more yardage, he may climb the rankings fast. He’s already shown a nose for the endzone, having gotten in three times.
19. Pittsburgh Steelers Geroge Pickens
George Pickens is one of the most entertaining receivers to watch play the game. He is a brawler out there and if Pittsburgh can find any sort of consistency in its passing game, his numbers should continue to climb.
18. Houston Texans Nico Collins
The former third-round pick out of Michigan has gotten off to a solid start this year catching 15 passes for 260 yards and a touchdown despite playing with a rookie quarterback and for an organization going through a transitional year.
17. Seattle Seahawks DK Metcalf
DK and Geno seem to have built some solid rapport over the past couple of seasons. Seattle’s freakish wide receiver has caught just 15 passes so far, but he’s done so for 234 yards a touchdown.
16. New York Jets Garrett Wilson
Garrett Wilson is going to have his work cut out for him this year now that Rodgers has gone down. He’s gotten in the endzone twice, but his effort level and contributions have been relatively inconsistent, not to mention, he was a non-factor in the loss to the Patriots this week.
15. Washington Commanders Terry McLaurin
Terry McLaurin has not been his usual self through three games in 2023, as he’s battled through a lingering toe injury from camp. Hopefully, the Commanders can get him nursed back to full health sooner rather than later.
14. Indianapolis Colts Michael Pittman Jr.
Michael Pittman is quietly having another big year, having caught 25 passes for 230 yards, and one touchdown despite playing with a rookie quarterback in Anthony Richardson and, now, his backup, Gardner Minshew.
13. San Francisco 49ers Deebo Samuel
There is nothing that Deebo Samuel can’t do on the football field. He is one of the best pure football players in the game. That said, his role has been somewhat limited as the result of a nagging injury, but after his six-catch, 129-yard, one-touchdown outburst against the Giants, he looks like he’s trending in the right direction.
12. Los Angeles Rams Puka Nacua
With the absence of Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua has really stepped for Matt Stafford and the Rams. The rookie has snagged 30 receptions for 338 yards in three games.
11. Cleveland Browns Amari Cooper
Cooper has been big for a struggling Browns passing game this year. He went off in Week 3 catching seven of eight targets for 116 yards and a touchdown.
10. Philadelphia Eagles AJ Brown
AJ Brown looks like he’s finally getting on the same page with Jalen Hurts after a relatively quiet start to the season. He came up big in their win against Tampa Bay in Week 3 catching nine of 14 targets for 131 yards.
9. Dallas Cowboys CeeDee Lamb
CeeDee Lamb is one of the most physical and explosive wide receivers in the league. He didn’t have his best game against Arizona in Week 3, but we have to give him some props for the monster day he had against the Jets the week prior.
8. Cincinnati Bengals Ja'Marr Chase
Week 3 was a big one for Ja’Marr Chase, who was missing in action to start the season. He hauled in 12 of his 15 targets for 141 yards in a pivotal 19-16 win.
7. Las Vegas Raiders Davante Adams
Davante Adams has his work cut out for him this year playing in Josh McDaniels’ troubled offense, but that hasn’t stopped him from continuing to produce. The 30-year-old has 25 catches for 322 yards and three touchdowns—and that is with the Raiders running attack disappearing into the void this year.
6. Buffalo Bills Stefon Diggs
Now that Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen seem to be back on the same page again, things are starting to look up in Buffalo. When he’s focused and at his best, Diggs is one of the toughest receivers in the game to stop.
5. Detroit Lions Amon-Ra St. Brown
Amon-Ra St. Brown is quietly become one of the best wide receivers in the game. St. Brown has help to elevate Jared Goff’s play and the Lions as a whole since they drafted him in 2021.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Mike Evans
Mike Evans has been a game-changer for the Bucs this year and really stepped up in helping to ease the transition from Tom Brady to Baker Mayfield. The future Hall of Famer has made plays left, right, and center and is a key reason that Tampa has gotten off to a hot start.
3. Los Angeles Chargers Keenan Allen
Keenan Allen has fallen victim to a bevy of nagging injuries throughout his career, so he often gets forgotten about when people run through their lists of top wideouts in the game, but the Chargers star is trying to change that this year.
He’s snagged 32 catches for 402 yards and two touchdowns and even tossed a 49-yard bomb to Mike Williams this past week. Not to mention the 18 catches for 215 yards and a touchdown!
2. Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill
Tyreek Hill has gotten off to a monster start this season, catching 25 passes for 412 yards and four touchdowns. The Dolphins speedster seems to have a great connection with Tua and should continue to dominate all year long.
1. Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson
Justin Jefferson has cemented himself as the best wide receiver in the game. Through three games—with Kirk Cousins throwing him the ball, mind you, he’s hauled in 27 catches for 458 yards and a touchdown.
The man is always open and his ability to run get yards after the catch is special.
