With that—Week 9 is officially in the books—and what a crazy week it was. Let’s take a look around the NFL and rank where every team’s quarterback stacks up.
32. Arizona Cardinals Clayton Tune (Last Week N/A)
So, it doesn’t look like Clayton Tune is going to be the answer in Arizona. 11 for 20, 58 yards, and two interceptions in a shutout loss? Ouch.
31. New York Giants Tommy Devito (Last Week #32)
Tommy Devito wasn’t even supposed to play in this game, as it was meant to be Daniel Jones’s big return to action, but that plan went awry when Jones left the game with an apparent knee injury.
Devito didn’t look as incompetent as New York might’ve led you to believe with how they managed him during his debut, but two interceptions and leading the offense to just six, late points is not enough to escape the cellar by more than one slot.
30. Los Angeles Rams Brett Rypien (Last Week N/A)

Matthew Stafford may have had a couple of bad games of late, but man, will he be a sight for sore eyes when he returns after watching Rypien fill in for him. The Rams backup was brutal to watch this week, completing just 13 of 28 passes for 130 yards and an INT against Green Bay.
29. Carolina Panthers Bryce Young (Last Week #23)
Bryce Young was back on his you know what this week—throwing three interceptions and really struggling to keep pace with the demands of running an NFL offense.
28. Las Vegas Raiders Aidan O’Connell (Last Week N/A)
With the regime change in New England, it is now looking like Jimmy Garoppolo might be on the outside looking in. Especially if Aidan O’Connell can continue to play mistake-free football—something that has been an issue for Jimmy this year.
27. Chicago Bears Tyson Bagent (Last Week #27)
Have to imagine that Chicago is ready for Justin Fields to return soon, as Tyson Bagent had another tough performance, surrendering three interceptions in the loss to New Orleans.
26. New York Jets Zach Wilson (Last Week #24)
It was a tough week for Zach Wilson. He was inaccurate all night against the Chargers—and with the national spotlight shining on him too!
25. New England Patriots Mac Jones (Last Week #25)
Mac Jones had a tough afternoon against a Washington defense that was just ripped to shreds ahead of the trade deadline. He struggled to make the right reads all game and ended up completing just 24 of his 44 attempts for 220, one score, and one interception.
24. Green Bay Packers Jordan Love (Last Week #30)
This was one of the better games we have seen out of Jordan Love as a pro. He was steady all afternoon, against an admittedly weak Rams team, completing 20 of 26 passes for 228 yards and one score.
23. Atlanta Falcons Taylor Heinicke (Last Week N/A)
It is never perfect for Heinicke, but he is solid—and there is no way around the fact that the Falcons offense looks significantly better with him under center than it did with Desmond Ridder.
22. BYE San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy (Last Week #22)
The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for 49ers QB, Brock Purdy. The second-year quarterback has been on the first real skid of his career, but should be able to take this break and get himself back on track next week against the Jags.
21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield (Last Week #19)
Baker Mayfield had a great game 21/30, 265 yards. 2 TDs and a QBR 119.4 but not good enough to get his team the win.
20. Cleveland Browns Deshaun Watson (Last Week N/A)
While it was still a far cry from the level Cleveland was expecting when they put all their eggs in the Deshaun Watson basket, the Browns embattled quarterback actually played fairly well this week, completing 19 of 30 passes for 219 yards, two touchdowns—and most importantly—no interceptions.
19. BYE Denver Broncos Russell Wilson (Last Week #18)
Russell Wilson has been playing well of late. Coming off the bye he should have an interesting matchup against the Bills on Monday Night Football.
18. Seattle Seahawks Geno Smith (Last Week #12)
Tough week for Geno and the Seahawks as they were given the little brother treatment by Lamar and the Ravens.
17. Pittsburgh Steelers Kenny Pickett (Last Week #17)
Kenny Pickett was a very effective game manager for the Steelers this week against Tennessee. He completed 19 of 30 passes for 160 yards and a score in route to a big win at home.
16. Indianapolis Colts Gardner Minshew (Last Week #15)
Gardner was impressive this week against an admittedly porous Panthers defense. He did exactly what was asked of him by protecting the football and making a few key completions to lead the Colts to a relatively stress-free win.
15. New Orleans Saints Derek Carr (Last Week #16)
Two solid showings from Derek Carri in a row. The Saints quarterback tossed the ball well all afternoon, going for two scores and 211 yards in a winning effort.
14. BYE Jacksonville Jaguars Trevor Lawrence (Last Week #11)
Trevor Lawrence and the Jags were on bye this week, but he’s been playing great football in recent weeks. They return to action Week 10 to host a 49ers team that will be eager to get back on track after a couple tough losses.
13. Washington Commanders Sam Howell (Last Week #13)
Sam Howell is looking like the real deal. Washington’s first-year starter led the team to victory despite a demoralizing trade deadline, going for over 300 yards through the air and one touchdown to one interception.
12. Tennessee Titans Will Levis (Last Week #14)
Will Levis did well to follow up on his impressive debut performance with a strong outing against the Steelers on the short week.. His counting numbers weren’t anything crazy and it came in a losing effort, but his presence in the pocket and ability to throw the ball downfield was undeniable.
11. Minnesota Vikings Joshua Dobbs (Last Week N/A)
What a gutsy performance by Dobbs this week during his first game as a Viking. The former Cardinals QB was brought into action just days after joining the team due to an injury and he balled out—even leading Minny to a game-winning drive.
10. Los Angeles Chargers Justin Herbert (Last Week #8)
Justin Herbert looked really strong this week against a strong Jets defense. The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback was slinging the ball all over the field and did a phenomenal job extending several plays with his legs.
9. Houston Texans C.J. Stroud (Last Week #20)
C.J. Stroud has arrived. The Texans rookie had a massive game against Tampa Bay, not only leading his team on a game-winning drive in the closing seconds of the contest, but also throwing for an insane 470 yards and five touchdowns in the process.
8. Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott (Last Week #9)
It may have come in a losing effort, but Dak Prescott balled out again this week—this time against a tough Eagles D. The Cowboys signal caller threw for a massive 374 yards and three touchdowns to no interceptions.
7. BYE Detroit Lions Jared Goff (Last Week #7)
Jared Goff stayed put this week with the Lions on bye. He’ll have a favorable matchup Week 10, as the Lions head out to LA to face the Chargers.
6. Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa (Last Week #2)
Tua looks good in spurts in Miami’s Germany matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, though it does feel like he left some meat on the bone. After all, Taglovailoa didn’t take many risks and was held under 200 passing yards.
5. Buffalo Bills Josh Allen (Last Week #4)
Josh Allen has been in full gunslinger mode this year. He’s been making some fantastic plays, but we need to see him start protecting the football better if he’s going to lead the Bills to the Promised Land.
4. Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes (Last Week #10)
With the way that the Chiefs defense has played this year, Mahomes hasn’t had to be his typical, superhuman self. But that said, he still manages to make plays every week that leave viewers scratching their heads in the best way possible.
No one makes 20 for 30, 185 yards, and two scores and no picks look easier than Mr. Mahomes.
3. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson (Last Week #3)
Lamar was quiet this week in the passing game, but wasn’t asked to do a whole lot because Baltimore was running the ball all over Seattle. Jackson deserves credit for the pressure his athleticism puts on opposing defenses. It was obvious that the threat of him running opened up opportunities for the Ravens running backs, who in tandem with Jackson went for nearly 300 rushing yards.
2. Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow (Last Week #5)
Yup, safe to say that Joe Burrow is officially back! We’ve now seen consecutive masterful performances against two bonafide contenders in the Niners and Bills.
1. Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts (Last Week #2)
Jalen Hurts continues to impress week in and week out, as he battles through injuries and leads the Eagles to victory after victory.
