We had some serious shake up amongst the league’s signal callers Week 7. Let’s take a look around the NFL and see where every team’s quarterback ranks.
32. Green Bay Packers Jordan Love (Last Week #29)
With each passing week it seems more and more undeniable that the Packers reign of continuous quarterback excellence may come to a halt with Jordan Love. Green Bay’s first-year starter struggled mightily again this week and there are serious questions about his viability as a starter.
31. Arizona Cardinals Joshua Dobbs (Last Week #27)
Okay… It was a nice run for Joshua Dobbs, but Cardinals fans at this point have to be missing Kyler Murray. Dobbs has competed well, but his accuracy down the field leaves a lot to be desired and Arizona isn’t going anywhere with him as the starter.
30. Atlanta Falcons Desmond Ridder (Last Week #24)
So, Desmond Ridder did a good job cutting back on the interceptions—the only problem—instead, he fumbled the ball three times, nearly costing the Falcons a critical win in the process.

29. Las Vegas Raiders Brian Hoyer (Last Week N/A)
Tough showing for Raiders second-stringer, Brian Hoyer, this week filling in for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo. He completed just 17 of 32 passes for 129 yards, surrendering two interceptions in the process.
28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield (Last Week #19)
Yup, safe to say Baker is now firmly back on earth. His counting numbers were okay against Atlanta, as he threw for 275 yards and one touchdown to one INT, but the offense was stagnant and he missed way too many throws.
27. Cleveland Browns PJ Walker (Last Week #26)
PJ Walker wasn’t even supposed to play this week, but after getting slotted in for Deshaun Watson after another injury to the Browns starter, Walker was right back in the mix. Obviously, it wasn’t perfect, but he competed well enough for Cleveland to edge out Indy for a critical win to keep pace in the AFC North.
26. Denver Broncos Russell Wilson (Last Week #31)
Week 7 was a week of improvement for Russell Wilson and the Broncos. They managed to get into the win column again, admittedly against a bad Packers team, but Russ was solid in the process, completing 20 of 29 passes for 194 yards and one score without any picks!
25. Washington Commanders Sam Howell (Last Week #14)
This might’ve been Sam Howell’s worst start of the season. The Commanders quarterback had a nightmare showing against the Giants, taking six sacks and completing just 22 of 42 attempts for 249 yards and an interception.
24. New England Patriots Mac Jones (Last Week #32)
Would you look at that—at long last we have a Mac Jones sighting! The Patriots young quarterback looked like his Pro Bowl, rookie year self, as he played a great game against Buffalo—and even led New England to game-winning drive.
23. BYE Tennessee Titans Ryan Tannehill (Last Week #23)
At this point, it is looking unlikely that Ryan Tannehill will play Week 8—even coming off the bye, as the 35-year-old is still recovering from an ankle sprain that knocked him out of the London game. He’s stationary in the rankings for now, but that will likely change next week.
22. BYE New York Jets Zach Wilson (Last Week #22)
Quiet week for Zach Wilson and the Jets on bye, he’ll have a tough match up Week 8 against a Giants defense that has been playing well of late.
21. New Orleans Saints Derek Carr (Last Week #13)
Another strange performance from Derek Carr and the Saints offense. Once again, he ran up the attempts, tossing the ball 55 times and completing a reasonable 33 of them, though most of the passes were underneath as he only totaled 301 yards.
Carr needs to find a way to start extending the field or this Saints offense is going to remain mediocre all season.
20. New York Giants Tyrod Taylor (Last Week #28)
Another solid showing from Tyrod Taylor, this time, in a winning effort. If he keeps playing the way he is, the QB1 spot may not be Daniel Jones for long.
19. Carolina Panthers Bryce Young (Last Week #21)
Prior to the bye, Bryce Young was starting to hit his stride a little bit. He’s back in action this week at home against the Texans.
18. Chicago Bears Tyson Bagent (Last Week N/A)
What a debut for Tyson Bagent! He led the oft-inept Bears offense to a 30-point performance and played extremely sound football. Especially for an undrafted rookie.
17. Los Angeles Rams Matt Stafford (Last Week #10)
This was a bit of a down week for Matt Stafford in what has otherwise been a fairly successful redemption tour in 2023. He completed just 14 of 29 attempts for 231 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing one interception against a strong Steelers D.
16. BYE Houston Texans C.J. Stroud (Last Week #17)
C.J. Stroud has been the most consistent rookie quarterback so far this year. Coming off the bye he is well-positioned to move up in the rankings thanks to a favorable matchup against a weak Panthers defense.
15. Indianapolis Colts Gardner Minshew (Last Week #16)
Week 7 was the full Gardner Minshew experience. Some good, some bad, some ugly, but all of it entertaining. For the most part, he balled out against an exceptional Browns defense, but Indy came up just short in this one.
14. Pittsburgh Steelers Kenny Pickett (Last Week #20)
Kenny Pickett and his Steelers are starting to trend in the right direction, especially now after the big win against Los Angeles. The return of Diontae Johnson has already made the young Steelers QB look significantly more comfortable in the pocket.
13. Jacksonville Jaguars Trevor Lawrence (Last Week #15)
Trevor Lawrence played well in the Jaguars’ convincing win against New Orleans Week 7. He played mistake-free ball, converting 20 of 29 pass attempts for 204 yards and one touchdown.
12. San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy (Last Week #8)
Overall, Brock Purdy had a solid showing on Monday Night Football, albeit in a loss, completing 21 of 30 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, he also threw two costly interceptions, including one on their final series of the game, when San Francisco was trying to mount a game-winning drive.
11. Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott (Last Week #12)
After a solid bounce-back outing on Monday Night Football, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys were on bye this week. Based on what Kenny Pickett did to them this week—he and CeeDee Lamb have a chance to put up numbers against a Rams secondary that has been struggling of late.
10. Seattle Seahawks Geno Smith (Last Week #9)
Geno didn’t go off by any means, but he did do exactly what he needed to do to get the Seahawks a win over the Cardinals this week. Smith completed 18 of 24 passes for 219 yards and two scores, though he did throw one particularly ill-advised interception in the process.
9. Los Angeles Chargers Justin Herbert (Last Week #8)
Justin Herbert is slowly becoming one of the more frustrating quarterbacks in the league to watch. His talent is obvious, but he continues to make blunders and miss relatively easy throws that are preventing him and ultimately the Chargers from moving to the next level.
8. BYE Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow (Last Week #7)
Now that he has finally taken a week off thanks to the Bengals’ bye week, Joe Burrow might have gotten a chance to let that calf heal up a bit. And you know what? He’ll need it next week as Cinci heads out west to face the 49ers on their home turf.
7. Minnesota Vikings Kirk Cousins (Last Week #18)
Week 7 was a big one for Kirk Cousins. He rose to the occasion on Monday Night Football, reviving the Vikings season by knocking off the 49ers on the strength of a 35 for 45, 378-yard, two-touchdown performance.
6. Detroit Lions Jared Goff (Last Week #2)
As good as Jared Goff has been thus far in 2023, he was bad this week against the Ravens. Detroit’s quarterback struggled to get anything going as the Lions scored just six points, which didn’t even come until the fourth quarter when the game was long over.
5. Buffalo Bills Josh Allen (Last Week #5)
Tough week for Josh Allen and the Bills, losing to their division rival, the New England Patriots. Allen did play well down the stretch, nearly rallying Buffalo back to steal a game that New England essentially led wire-to-wire.
4. Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa (Last Week #4)
Not Tua’s best week against a tough Philly defense. Miami’s signal-caller completed just 23 of 32 passes for 216 yards and a touchdown, surrendering one interception to boot in the convincing loss.

3. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson (Last Week #11)
Lamar Jackson continues his hot stretch of play as he looked like he was back in MVP form this week, torching the Lions secondary for 357 passing yards and three scores. Pretty good for a guy people call a running back.
2. Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts (Last Week #4)
Jalen Hurts absolutely balled out against the Dolphins this week. As per usual, he rushed in a touchdown, but also really threw the ball well, finding A.J. Brown 10 times for 137 yards and score.
1. Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes (Last Week #3)
Another extremely casual “down week” for Patrick Mahomes, as he completed 30 of 40 passes for 306 yards and one touchdown to one INT.
