And with that performance from Jimmy G and Jordan Love on Monday Night Football, the NFL’s signal callers, like us, are on to Week 5. Time to take a look at where every NFL team’s QB ranks through five games.
32. New England Patriots Mac Jones (Last Week #32)
Who would’ve thought that Zach Wilson wouldn’t be the worst quarterback in the AFC East? Mac Jones has done the unthinkable, as the wheels have completely come off in New England.
31. New York Giants Daniel Jones (Last Week #25)
Coming off the big contract this offseason, Daniel Jones has been an enormous disappointment for New York. He’s still done well to make plays with his legs, but he turns the ball over at an insanely high rate and the offense continues to stall out under his leadership.
30. BYE Cleveland Browns Dorian Thompson-Robinson (Last Week #28)
Even with the bye week, reports are still questioning Deshaun Watson’s availability for Week 6. Dorian Thompson-Robinson will need to find a better level of play if the Browns want to be competitive in Watson’s absence.

29. Denver Broncos Russell Wilson (Last Week #21)
It is starting to look like it may officially be curtains for Russell Wilson. He was outdueled by his surname sake during his matchup with the Jets this week, not to mention getting humiliated by his former coach in the process.
With the exception of some garbage time yardage and points, the Broncos quarterback did next to nothing on Sunday.
28. Carolina Panthers Bryce Young (Last Week #23)
Bryce Young was gutsy this week against a tough Lions defense, but he still seems completely over matched trying to adjust to the professional level. Carolina may be doing him a tremendous disservice development-wise by throwing him into the starting lineup as a rookie with a fairly weak team around him.
27. Green Bay Packers Jordan Love (Last Week #18)
Yikes. Tough showing from the Packers first-year starter on Monday Night Football. Love completed a measly 16 of 30 for 182 yards and no touchdowns, tossing three interceptions. That’s good for a 32.2 quarterback rating.
26. Pittsburgh Steelers Kenny Pickett (Last Week #29)
Kenny Pickett played great down the stretch of the Steelers’ shocking comeback win against the Ravens, but he needs to find a way to put together a more complete game if this team wants to be a contender. 18 for 32 for 224 yards and a touchdown is not going to cut it.
25. Tennessee Titans Ryan Tannehill (Last Week #19)
This was not a good week for Ryan Tannehill. The veteran quarterback was admittedly under fire all afternoon, but he needs to be better for Tennessee to be taken seriously. He finished with 28th in passer rating across the league in Week 5.
24. Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott (Last Week #13)
Another big game and another embarrassing showing from Dak Prescott. The Cowboys signal caller completed just 14 of 24 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown while tossing three interceptions. Not a recipe for success in the NFL—especially against a team like the 49ers.
23. Las Vegas Raiders Jimmy Garoppolo (Last Week #26)
Big win for Jimmy G and the Raiders on Monday Night with their season hanging in the balance. Las Vegas’ quarterback did just enough to eek it out against a mediocre Packers team, completing 22 of 31 for 208 yards and a touchdown with one INT.
22. Arizona Cardinals Joshua Dobbs (Last Week #17)
Joshua Dobbs fell five spots in the rankings this week, as he and the Cardinals struggled against a motivated Bengals team, but one again the Arizona signal caller was gutsy, making plays with his legs and notching two TDs, though he did admittedly toss two picks as well.
21. Atlanta Falcons Desmond Ridder (Last Week #32)
This was far and away the best game of Desmond Ridder’s career—hence the jump from 32 to 21. The Falcons QB went for over 300 yards for the first time, tossed a score, and didn’t even turn the ball over. He also added another touchdown on the ground, helping the Falcons to a big, home win against the Texans.
20. Minnesota Vikings Kirk Cousins (Last Week #24)
Kirk was not the problem in Minnesota’s loss to the Chiefs this week. He had 29 completions, 284 yards, and two scores and kept the Vikings in this one all afternoon.
19. New Orleans Saints Derek Carr (Last Week #27)
Derek Carr was extremely efficient on Sunday converting 18 of his 26 passing attempts for 183 yards and two touchdowns in a thumping of the Patriots.
18. New York Jets Zach Wilson (Last Week #22)
Zach Wilson’s numbers weren’t great against Denver, but again he managed to make some “wow” throws and played well enough to help this talented Jets team to a much-needed win.
17. Indianapolis Colts Anthony Richardson (Last Week #15)
Anthony Richardson was off to a solid start before another injury jettisoned him from play. It looks like this will be Gardner Minshew’s team for the foreseeable future, as this one will have him sidelined for a few weeks.
16. Jacksonville Jaguars Trevor Lawrence (Last Week #16)
The Jaguars quarterback balled out in Tottenham against a tough Bills defense, completing 25 of 37 for over 300 yards and a touchdown.
15. Houston Texans C.J. Stroud (Last Week #10)
Houston took a tough L in Hotlanta this week, but its rookie played solidly. He was under duress all game and still managed 20 completions for 249 yards and a touchdown without turning the ball over.
14. Chicago Bears Justin Fields (Last Week #20)
Justin Fields has now played two great games in a row. 282 yards through the air and four scores with no interceptions is no small feat.
If he can put up one more solid game, we’ll have no choice, but shoot him up the rankings even further.
13. Washington Commanders Sam Howell (Last Week #14)
Sam Howell gets a slight bump this week for the mammoth counting numbers he put up against the Bears, but take them with a grain of salt, as this game was never particularly close.
Still—it is hard to besmirch a first-year starter when he goes for 388 yards and two touchdowns, with only one pick.
12. BYE Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield (Last Week #12)
Baker stayed put this week while on the bye. He and the Bucs host Detroit this week in what will be a huge game for both sides.
11. Los Angeles Rams Matt Stafford (Last Week #11)
Matt Stafford was relatively efficient against a tough Philly D, turning 21 completions into 222 yards and two touchdowns with no picks. Need to see some bigger plays out of him if the Rams want to be legitimate contenders again this year.
10. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson (Last Week #6)
LamJax and the Ravens offense really struggled this week against their AFC North rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Baltimore’s quarterback completed just 57.9% of his passes and had a QBR of 49.5 is the loss.
9. Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow (Last Week #30)
Not to jinx it, but Joe Burrow looks like he is finally over the hump with that calf injury. He looked the most mobile he’s been all year and went for over 300 yards, while notching three scores in a season-saving win.
8. BYE Los Angeles Chargers Justin Herbert (Last Week #9)
The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback didn’t have much to do this week with his team on bye but managed to sneak one spot up in the rankings. Herbert needs to have a big game in Week 6 though, as the Chargers host Dallas on Monday Night Football.
7. BYE Seattle Seahawks Geno Smith (Last Week #8)
Geno also got a slight bump this week from his couch thanks to a disappointing performance from Lamar Jackson that bumped him out of the top 7. He’ll have a big test this week against a Bengals team that looks like it may have finally gotten over the hump.
6. Buffalo Bills Josh Allen (Last Week #1)
Not the best showing for Josh Allen and the Bills, who may want to rethink their travel strategy next time they have to hop the pond. The Bills sleepwalked through the first half and though they rallied, it was too little too late against Jacksonville.
5. Detroit Lions Jared Goff (Last Week #7)
Jared Goff had a monster week, as the veteran signal caller helped the Lions to an easy victory over Carolina. He completed 20 of 28 for 236 yards and three touchdowns in a big win.
4. Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa (Last Week #5)
The Giants proved to be light work for Tua and the Dolphins this week. Miami’s quarterback played well for the most part, going for 308 and two touchdowns, but he’ll need to protect the ball a little better against real competition.
3. San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy (Last Week #4)
Brock Purdy is steadily proving his “system quarterback” critics wrong or at least quieting them with the way that he’s played so far this year.
Yes, San Francisco has talent all over the place, but if you watch them play, his talent is undeniable. As is the 144.4 passer rating and four touchdowns he played to on Sunday.
2. Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts (Last Week #2)
Another big Eagles win, as Jalen Hurts elevated his team to victory, going for over 300 yards through air and a touchdown, while adding 72 and another score on the ground.
1. Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes (Last Week #3)
Only Patrick Mahomes can have 31 completions for 281 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions and have people around the league shrug their shoulders like he didn’t have that great of a game.
