Week 12 is now a wrap and the playoff picture is becoming clearer. Let’s take a look around the league and see how quarterback stacks up.
31. New England Patriots Mac Jones (Last Week #31)
It was honestly shocking that Mac Jones even got the start in this one after being benched in Week 11, but rest assured, he still managed to disappoint in epic fashion. The embattled quarterback threw two abysmal interceptions in the first half and was benched during this intermission.
31. New York Jets Tim Boyle (Last Week N/A)
It is hard to deny that the Jets aren’t cursed at this point. No one thought it could get worse than Zach Wilson, but this offense looked even worse with Tim Boyle playing quarterback.
Especially when you factor in that humiliating “Hell Mary.”
Man, just when you thought it couldn’t get worse for Zach Wilson, he puts up a performance like that in an absolute must-win situation against Buffalo. Not to mention that he got benched for Tim Boyle!

30. Carolina Panthers Bryce Young (Last Week #30)
The Panthers rookie had a tough time with an extremely mediocre Titans defense in Week 12. He took four more sacks and ended up completing just 18 of 31 passes for 194 largely ineffectual yards.
29. Cleveland Browns Dorian Thompson-Robinson (Last Week #24)
Thompson-Robinson has a lot of work to do if he wants to hang on to the job in Cleveland. The Browns had serious playoff expectations and he didn’t instill a lot of confidence with the way he played against the Broncos.
28. Atlanta Falcons Desmond Ridder (Last Week #29)
It looks like the Desmond Ridder show is back on in Atlanta—though that doesn’t mean that it is all that fun to watch. The Falcons second-year quarterback was bailed out by the run game in this one, as his contribution was just 13 completions for 168 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
27. Cincinnati Bengals Jake Browning (Last Week #25)
No one expected Jake Browning to fit in seamlessly after the injury to Joe Burrow, but the performance against Pittsburgh was underwhelming nonetheless. The Bengals stand-in didn’t look comfortable in the pocket and displayed little to no ability to move the ball downfield.
26. Pittsburgh Steelers Kenny Pickett (Last Week #27)
With Matt Canada out of the picture, Kenny Pickett actually looked a good bit better this week against the Bengals. For starters, he got over 200 yards for the first time in what must feel like forever. The Steelers second-year quarterback looked far more comfortable with the play calls too and made very few mistakes.
It will be interesting to see what he looks like with another week or two of distance between him and his former offensive coordinator.
25. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield (Last Week #26)
Baker Mayfield is finding a new way to draw comparisons to Johnny Manziel, as he’s been completely carried by Mike Evans of late. The Buccaneers need Mayfield to get more fluid in the offense working with other targets as well.
24. Las Vegas Raiders Aidan O’Connell (Last Week #28)
Aidan O’Connell had his work cut out for him this week going against such a strong Chiefs defense, but he actually got off to a pretty solid start. Unfortunately, Kansas City woke up and held him and the Raiders to just three points after their big first quarter.
23. New York Giants Tommy DeVito (Last Week #23)
Credit to Tommy DeVito for stepping up after a tough start to his career. The Giants QB got his first home win this week, albeit against the Patriots, and threw for 191 yards, one touchdown, and most importantly no interceptions.
22. Tennessee Titans Will Levis (Last Week #22)
Tennessee’s offense is a major question mark right now, but Will Levis has looked very competent regardless, which is all you can ask out of a rookie thrust into starting duties mid-year.
21. Minnesota Vikings Joshua Dobbs (Last Week #15)
Joshua Dobbs was a huge disappointment on Monday Night. Granted, all of the interceptions weren’t squarely on him, but four picks against the lowly Bears is about as bad as it gets.
20. Chicago Bears Justin Fields (Last Week #22)
It is good to see Justin Fields back on the gridiron. He’s not a perfect quarterback yet by any stretch, but the Bears are far more entertaining with him in the lineup. Fields also made some impressive plays in the closing minutes of the Bears MNF win.
19. Washington Commanders Sam Howell (Last Week #14)
Sam Howell struggled again this week, largely because the Dallas pass rush was all over him. He still managed to over 300 yards, but took four sacks, surrendered one interception, and had no touchdowns.
18. New Orleans Saints Derek Carr (Last Week #17)
Tough week for Kyler Murray, as the Cardinals dual-threat quarterback got beat up all game by the Rams pass rush. Despite taking four sacks, Murray was fairly productive, completing 27 of 45 passes for 256 yards and one touchdown, while also adding an additional touchdown on the ground.
17. Arizona Cardinals Kyler Murray (Last Week #13)
Arizona may not have won, but it had to feel good to see another strong showing out of Kyler Murray in his return from ACL surgery. He completed nearly 67 percent of his passes for 214 yards, one touchdown—and one interception—and tacked on seven carries for 51 yards and another score.
16. Seattle Seahawks Geno Smith (Last Week #11)
It looks like Geno’s triceps injury was still affecting him this week as he really struggled against the 49ers. He completed just 18 of 31 passes for 185 yards with no touchdowns.
15. Indianapolis Colts Gardner Minshew (Last Week #18)
Gardner Minshew looked good coming off the bye this week and delivered a huge win for the Colts over the Bucs, maintaining their footing in the AFC playoff picture.
14. Green Bay Packers Jordan Love (Last Week #21)
Back-to-back impressive weeks for Jordan Love. Green Bay’s first-year starter balled out against the Lions on Thanksgiving, finishing with 268 yards. three touchdowns, and no INTS.
13. Los Angeles Matthew Stafford (Last Week #19)
Even with Cooper Kupp as a relative nonfactor, Matthew Stafford was awesome this week. The Rams veteran quarterback was slinging the ball all over the field and finished with four touchdowns in the blowout win over the Cardinals.
12. Jacksonville Jaguars Trevor Lawrence (Last Week #16)
This was a big week for Trevor Lawrence. He went for 364 yards and one score (with one interception) and delivered a huge win over C.J. Stroud and the Texans that put the Jaguars firmly in the driver’s seat in the AFC West.
11. Los Angeles Chargers Justin Herbert (Last Week #9)
It was another disappointing week for Justin Herbert and the Chargers, as they fell to the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. The flashes are still there with Herbert, but he was inconsistent and struggled with his accuracy against Baltimore.
10. San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy (Last Week #4)
Brock Purdy was a little quiet this week in terms of counting numbers, but with the way that offense ran against Seattle, it is hard to knock him too much. He finished with 209 yards, one touchdown, and one interception on 21 completions.
9. Denver Broncos Russell Wilson (Last Week #12)
He may not be putting up big counting numbers, but you can’t discount what Russell Wilson has been doing as of late in Denver. The Broncos quarterback looks completely rejuvenated and is even willing to try and make plays with his legs again.
8. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson (Last Week #5)
The Ravens offense looked a little disjointed this week, but Lamar found a way to get the win. He finished with 177 passing yards and one touchdown and chipped in an additional 39 yards on the ground.
7. Houston Texans C.J. Stroud (Last Week #8)
C.J. Stroud continues to impress. The Texans rookie completed 26 of 36 for 304 and two scores against the Jaguars this week.
6. Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa (Last Week #6)
With the exception of the two picks right before the half, Tua looked great against the Jets this week. He completed 70% of his passes and went for 243 yards and a score against a really talented defense.
5. Detroit Lions Jared Goff (Last Week #7)
Detroit couldn’t get out of its own way this week, as the Lions fell to the Packers on Thanksgiving in embarrassing fashion. Detroit’s signal caller doesn’t deserve much of the blame though, as he finished having gone 29 for 44 for 332 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions.
4. Buffalo Bills Josh Allen (Last Week #10)
Josh Allen has now had two extremely impressive performances in a row. He went toe-to-toe with Jalen Hurts for four quarters in horrendous conditions, completing 29 of 51 for 339 yards and two touchdowns to one interception and added 81 yards and two scores on the ground.
3. Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott (Last Week #1)
No one wants to admit it, but Dak Prescott has looked awesome this year. Again, it came against inferior competition, but he lit up the Commanders for 331 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions on Thanksgiving.
2. Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes (Last Week #2)
Patrick Mahomes got the second-half monkey off his back this week, as the Chiefs rebounded from a slow first quarter to pummel the Raiders. The perennial MVP candidate finished with 298 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions.
1. Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts (Last Week #1)
What Jalen Hurts did against the Bills this week was unbelievable. Even with a banged-up knee and terrible conditions, he made a handful of extremely clutch plays with his legs and his arm down the stretch of that game and finished with five total touchdowns.
