Randy Moss and Alex Smith both got the shock of a lifetime on Sunday.
Randy Moss and Alex Smith will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as members of the 2024 class.
Both were told the news during the broadcast of ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown and they had no clue that it was coming.
Moss caught 90 passes for 1,647 yards and 25 touchdowns in his final season at Marshall while earning All-American honors along with being named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year. He helped the program win a I-AA national title in 1996.
Alex Smith spent three years at Utah, throwing for 5,199 yards and 47 touchdowns in his two seasons as the starting quarterback.
