Bills and Jets fans weren’t the only ones left reeling from the aftermath of their Week 1 matchup on Monday Night Football.
Many fans think at least one other player on the Jets is losing his mind right now.
Randall Cobb spent a decade catching Rodgers’s passes in Green Bay. He was supposed to spend at least one more year doing so after Cobb signed with the New York Jets on a one-year deal this offseason.
Cobb and Rodgers formed a tight bond over their years together in Green Bay, with Rodgers requesting the Packers to reacquire Cobb in a trade from the Houston Texans prior to the 2021 season. The two players notably walked off Lambeau Field together in the Packers’ season-ending loss in 2022.
Now that Rodgers is out for the year, many fans think Cobb is either stressed out or might be on his way out as the Jets could cut him.

Many players across the league have urged the NFL to get rid of turf surfaces like the ones at MetLife Stadium.
Following what turned out to be a heroic overtime win for the Jets, several players, including Randall Cobb and Breece Hall, made it clear that it’s time to have only grass surfaces.
Via Dianna Russini:
“I’ve never been a fan of turf. I never will be a fan of turf. It’s crazy that the MLS will change stuff for Messi. Premier League will do everything they can to protect players with grass fields. But the NFL’s more worried about making money. Profit over people,” Cobb said.
“I had high hopes for him being in a new jersey. But then MetLife, everyone knows bout that goddamn stadium. They need to get real grass. That’s trash.
“It’s obvious to see – a lot of guys have season-ending injuries there.”
Cobb has been one of the game’s better slot receivers since he entered the league in 2011. He has six seasons in which he’s recorded at least 55 receptions.
He had 34 receptions for 417 yards and a touchdown over 13 games in 2022. He recorded 28 receptions for 375 yards and five touchdowns over 12 games in the season prior to that. The Jets will be the fourth team Cobb has played for in his career. He played with the Dallas Cowboys in 2019 and the Houston Texans in 2020.
