Puka Nacua was the surprise star of the Los Angeles Rams in his explosive 2023 rookie season.
The only reason he failed to win Offensive Rookie of the Year was because Texans quarterback CJ Stroud was much better.
The 23-year-old Nacua will be tested many times before the Rams take the field again, but it’s not looking encouraging that he will be able to play next week.
Nacua posted four catches for a team-leading 35 yards before departing, per his stats on ESPN.
Having Puka Nacua Miss Several Games Could Be Disastrous For The Rams
Nobody in their right mind saw the Rams having a good year and heading to the playoffs.
Star rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua was a big reason why.
Nacua appeared to suffer an injury during the second quarter of the Rams’ Sunday Night Football contest and had to be carted off the field.
Nacua was slow to walk off the field after hauling in a 6-yard pass from Matthew Stafford in the first half.
The Rams initially announced that Nacua was questionable to return, but he eventually got carted off.
The team is back in action next Sunday, and there is a good chance that Puka Nacua could miss that game and many others.
