It’s been a rough year for the Los Angeles Rams. After mortgaging everything to win the Super Bowl last year, the team is certainly paying for it in 2022…
Not that they’re complaining… Or that any of us are feeling sorry for them.
The Rams enter week 13 sitting in last place in the NFC West with a 3-8 record. Even if they were to win out from here, it’s still unlikely that they would make the postseason. And their chances of actually pulling off that feet took another major hit following their latest roster move, as the team announced that they had placed quarterback Matt Stafford on injured reserve.
With only six weeks remaining in the season, it’s very likely that we’ve seen the last of Stafford in 2022. And with the starting QB likely done, you can probably assume star wideout Cooper Kupp won’t bother returning once his I.R. stint is completed either.
Stafford cleared concussion protocol earlier this week, but he was declared out for the team’s week 13 game with a neck injury. You can now count him out for at least the next four games, and maybe more.

Stafford left the Rams’ week 11 loss to the Saints with a concussion, and he was reportedly feeling numbness in his legs. At 34-years-old, some are wondering whether this could be the Super Bowl champion’s final year. His wife has already made it clear she’s hoping that’s the case.
