Marcus Peters just gave Amari Cooper something to go and think about as the Cowboys wideout begins his long offseason following Saturday’s loss to the Rams.
After the game, which L.A. won by a score of 30-22, Peters and Cooper were seen exchanging blows and words while the two teams shook hands at midfield. The two also did some sparing during the Cowboys’ first drive of the game. And they have quite the extensive history, having faced off on several occasions when Coop and Peters played for the Raiders and Chiefs, respectively, in the AFC West.
While speaking with reporters in the locker room after the contest, Peters was asked about his altercation with Cooper.
“Tell Coop I thought he knew us. He said he played us two times a year… that’s 12 times he played against me and Talib. I think he got strapped tonight. He had that TD, but he didn’t do s—. I choked him out. He couldn’t do nothin’. He was crying for his mama. That’s how he is. That’s why the Raiders got rid of him.”
Whoa. Tell us how you really feel, Marcus.
With both the Rams and Cowboys having won their respective divisions this year, these two teams are going to meet in the 2019 season. And you can bet Cooper will be using Peters’ words as motivation leading up to that game.
Get your popcorn ready, folks.
