The Los Angeles Rams hosted the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day in a game that many thought would be a close contest as both teams entered the game with identical 4-10 records. It did not turn out that way as the Rams easily handled the Broncos in a 51-14 beatdown.
The video board operators at SoFi Stadium decided to have some fun at the expense of the Broncos fan in attendance by hilariously trolling them by adding a crying filter to the fans faces to make it appear as though they were weeping.
Many Broncos fans this year have been crying real tears as this season has turned out to be a complete disaster for the franchise. In the off season, Denver believed they had solved their quarterback woes by trading for Russell Wilson, but it has not panned out the way they were hoping.
The Broncos gave up a boat load of draft picks as well as several players to land Wilson and then signed him to a massive contract, only for him to have his poorest season as a professional. To make matters even worse, one of the draft picks sent to Seattle in the trade was a 2023 1st rounder which is looking like it will be a top five pick.
The day after the game, Denver fired head coach Nathaniel Hackett who was just in his first year of a four-year contract he signed earlier this year. He ends his Broncos tenure with a 4-11 record.
