Trade rumors are heating up with the NFL’s November deadline approaching. And Matthew Stafford hasn’t escaped speculation.
Amid reports that Los Angeles Rams teammate Cooper Kupp has been placed on the trading block, the Rams are reportedly discussing a move regarding Stafford with the Minnesota Vikings.
According to Jack Settleman, the two teams are locked in talks over a potential deal for Stafford. Settleman has also claimed that L.A. would be interested in signing the Vikings’ Sam Darnold to a long-term deal should negotiations over Stafford bear fruit.
Of course, the above is a little hard to believe, especially given how good Darnold has been for Minnesota this season. However, various analysts feel that Stafford could be the quarterback to take the Vikings to another level in the short term.
Darnold has impressively led the league in scertain metrics this season, yet there’s a notion suggesting Stafford would present a better option, especially in the bigger upcoming games.

There’s Been No Confirmation From The Rams Where A Possible Trade For Matthew Stafford is Concerned
The Rams haven’t confirmed an intent to trade Stafford ahead of the deadline, but they could be keen on an overhaul, given that they’re leaning toward parting ways with Kupp.
Darnold has increased his stock through his excellent performances in a Vikings uniform this season, so other teams wanting him is indeed understandable. But fans will await updates from more respected sources before running with this.
Stafford and Kupp combined to help the Rams win a Super Bowl at the end of the 2021 season, with the latter putting on one of the most impressive receiving campaigns in NFL history. But the team could be looking to usher in a new era following their struggles to get back to the top.
