Los Angeles Rams fans everywhere were supposed to be celebrating their team’s victory at Super Bowl LIV a few Sundays ago, but at least one fan who was in attendance at SoFi was prevented from dong so. And now she’s suing the stadium.
According to the report from TMZ Sports, a woman is claiming that she was unable to watch her Rams hoist the Lombardi trophy after spending almost $9,000 on tickets because she suffered “life-altering” injuries during the game.
The report indicated that the woman was sitting in her seat when a fan standing behind her high-fived his friend, lost his balance, and fell onto her, causing the woman to smack her head on the seat in front of her before tumbling down a few rows.
Via TMZ Sports:
In the docs, Abella claims she was sitting in her seat when she “suddenly, and without warning,” felt a forcible blow to the back of her head.
Abella says the impact was so strong, it forced her out of her assigned seat and sent her flying into the back of another seat rows ahead.
Abella was taken to the hospital after suffering the injuries, which included a fractured nose, shoulder and orbital bone, along with a concussion. She is suing SoFi Stadium as a result, claiming the injury was the result of “dangerous and defectively planned” seating.
Looks like the Rams may not have the money to re-sign all those free agents after all.
