This is not going to make Saints fans any happier with the outcome of the game.
Late in the fourth quarter, Drew Brees threw a pass to WR Tommylee Lewis, but he never had a chance to catch the ball because Nickell Robey-Coleman was right there to hit him well before it got there.
If this had been called PI, the Saints would’ve been able to run the clock down to expiration for a game-winning chipshot field goal. Instead, they had to kick there, the Rams got the ball, and mounted a field goal drive to force overtime.
Following the game, the Los Angeles Rams made that refereeing crew look that much worse when he admitted to doing what he did on purpose to prevent a touchdown and he even looked for a flag afterwards.
