The Pittsburgh Steelers made a move to bolster their WR room.
On Tuesday, the team was said to have traded for Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Allen Robinson.
According to Tom Pelissero, the deal is contingent on Robinson passing a physical, which at this point is more than just a formality.
The biggest news is more than just the trade of the player, but who will be paying what in terms of his salary.
According to multiple reports, Los Angeles will pay $10.25 million of Robinson’s 2023 salary with Pittsburgh taking on $5 million. The team will also swap seventh-round picks, with the Rams receiving No. 234 and the Steelers getting No. 251.
Jourdan Rodrigue of TheAthletic.com reported Los Angeles had already paid Robinson $5 million, so the club will pay the receiver $10.25 million to free up $5 million of cap space.

The Rams have been pretty openly shopping Robinson and were even willing to eat some of his guaranteed salary for 2023 just to get rid of him. It looks like a team finally bit on a deal.
Robinson played college football at Penn State, where he had a successful career, setting multiple records and earning several honors, including being named a consensus All-American in 2013.
He was then drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Robinson played for the Jaguars from 2014 to 2017, where he had his best season in 2015, recording 1,400 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.
He would sign a three-year contract with the Chicago Bears in 2018. He would then sign a three-year, $46.5 million contract with the Rams last March, a deal that included $30.25 million guaranteed.
Overall, Robinson is considered a solid wide receiver in the NFL, with multiple Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors to his name.
