The Los Angeles Rams’ Aaron Donald is one of the most dominant defenders in the NFL today, but his training methods are leaving fans speechless.
The 290 lb Donald is one of the most physical players in the NFL, and his workout videos ae legendary. Unfortunately for one of his teammates, undrafted free agent Taron Vincent, Donald practices a drill that more resembles something out of WWE as opposed to the NFL.
Practicing moving an opponent back or working around the collar is commonplace for linemen to train in that manner, but throttling your teammate isn’t exactly an NFL tradition. The scene was more comparable to the Undertaker or Kane than it is for a regular season snap. As footage was released, fans weren’t having any of this drill.

In his defense, the placement of the goozle on Vincent is textbook professional wrestling, and as his career winds down, AEW or WWE could easily sign the big man.
Despite the absurdity of the drill, Donald remains one of the top Defensive Linemen in the NFL and is guaranteed a hall of fame induction. Donald finished the 2022 season with 5 sacks and 49 tackles in a down year, but looks to rebound this season. As for his drill, that’s a flag on the play, but it works for his production.
Though the visual of Donald doing a drill choke on Vincent is rough, who’s going to tell Aaron Donald to stop?
