On Thursday night, the Oakland Raiders took on the Arizona Cardinals in a game that was completely dominated by the Oakland Raiders from start to finish.
No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray did not have a good night at all. The former Oklahoma Heisman trophy winner completed just 3-of-8 passing for 12 yards and was sacked 2 times on the night.
One of those sacks went for a safety.
Raiders safety Lamarcus Joyner forced Murray to retreat back into his end-zone, forcing the safety and was asked about that play on the sideline where he proceeded to rip the Cardinals “pretty boy” offense, saying he doesn’t want college offenses in the NFL.
Kyler Murray definitely has a long way to go, but being the #1 pick in the 2019 Draft, he better find it sooner, rather than later.
The Cardinals have already shown they will show the door to a quarterback after one season as they proved with Josh Rosen.
