Former Ohio State cornerback Damon Arnette is now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, but that doesn’t mean he became a millionaire overnight.
It might actually take a while for the contract process to happen due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite going No. 19 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Arnette still has the same amount of money or even less that he had before he got drafted.
He took to Twitter to remind everyone that he’s “still broke” until further notice. “No you can’t hold nun fam I’m still broke,” Arnette wrote.
Arnette recorded 35 tackles, eight passes defended and an interception for the Buckeyes in 2019. If he can put up those numbers or even better, he’s looking at even bigger pay days in the future.
