Undisputed is making all types of moves.
According to John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal, the show is getting set to hire Rachel Nichols to join Fox Sports 1’s Undisputed opposite of Skip Bayless. In the meantime, Fox Sports 1 is still dealing with whether to hire Keyshawn Johnson or Michael Irvin for the show as well.
ESPN recently laid off Johson as part of the network’s budget cuts. Irvin remains on suspension from NFL Network after an alleged inappropriate incident with a hotel employee during Super Bowl week.
Nichols will join Sherman and renowned rapper Lil Wayne alongside Bayless, while Undisputed also looks for additional panelists to rotate in as part of the next iteration of the show.
This huge changeover is in response to former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe being bought out and leaving the show after the conclusion of the NBA Finals.
As for Nichols, she has been working with Showtime after departing ESPN following the release of a private phone call that was leaked in which she complained about the rise of Maria Taylor’s prominence within the network.
