Rachel Bush just wants her husband to get paid what he’s worth and to retire as a member of the Buffalo Bills.
On Wednesday, it was reported that the Steelers and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick had reached an agreement on a four-year deal that makes him the NFL’s highest-paid safety on a per-year basis. Schefter says the deal is worth more than $18.4 million a season and includes $36 million guaranteed at signing.
Shortly after the deal was announced, the wife of Bills safety Jordan Poyer took to Twitter and threw shade towards her man’s team.
“Love seeing teams take care of their valuable, hard working guys. Guys that you know damn well rightfully earned every penny of it. All pros.”
She continued by responding to a fan who brought up Minkah’s age:
“Was minkah a first team pro last year? Can’t argue when a player is top tier. Regardless of age. Just a number that you can try to say means something for negotiating purposes but a weak excuse when actions speak louder than words.”

Bush also had some interesting comments that she “liked” on Twitter:
Poyer is set to make a base salary of $5.6 million for the 2022 season and has a cap figure of $10.77 million. He is certainly due for a raise.
Last season, the 30-year-old appeared in 16 games for the Bills and recorded 93 tackles, three sacks, five interceptions and nine pass deflections. He was an All-Pro selection in 2021.
If no deal happens, he will be an unrestricted free agent in 2023.
