In a major escalation of pressure on NFL teams to vaccinate as many players as possible before the start of this fall’s season, the NFL sent out a memo and said that teams will forfeit and be slapped with a loss if a game is cancelled because of a COVID-19 outbreak among their unvaccinated players — and neither team’s players will be paid.
“These operating principles are designed to allow us to play a full season in a safe and responsible way and address possible competitive or financial issues fairly,” states the introduction to the memo.
“We know that vaccines are safe and effective and are the best step anyone can take to be safe from the coronavirus,” the memo says.
Though the NFL avoided cancellations in 2020, more than a dozen games were postponed, some by weeks, due to outbreaks among players. They want to avoid that at all costs this season with their new mandate.
Among the many people who hated this news was Bills safety Jordan Poyer’s wife, Rachel Bush.
“None of this makes sense. Time to put a foot down. All these vaccinated athletes out here getting covid!! Instead of doing the logical thing and removing any restrictions against unvaccinated players they have done the exact opposite! Makes ZERO sense. Enough is enough.”

“It’s funny- seems to me the players aren’t the ones creating distractions at this point. All these rules and restrictions are nothing but distractions. Especially since most players have said they will respect their teammates decisions regardless- as they should.”
“Everyone needs to start being more understanding and accepting. Someone who is having serious side effects from the covid vaccine now could’ve had covid and been asymptomatic. Just because you didn’t have a negative reaction from the shot doesn’t mean others aren’t.”
“Nobody is saying don’t get the vaccine. We are explaining why we are choosing not to. That is our personal decision. Personal experiences will make each persons choice different. No one should be forced to get a vaccine when they are not comfortable with doing so. Period.”
“I think it all comes down to personal experiences and perspective. Why would you tell me that when I’ve already had covid and I am clearly fine? Would you tell someone who had a loved one suffer a stroke from the vaccine that? Perspective friend. Be respectful.”
Candace Owens also had something to say about the NFL.
“Vaccinated people are still catching Covid! So the NFL policy makes entirely no scientific sense.
Big Pharma and the government are squeezing corporations to do their evil bidding.
Forcing HEALTHY men to inject experimental substances into their arms is a moral abomination.”
