Rachel Bush, the wife of Bills safety Jordan Poyer, has been throwing non-stop heat on Twitter after learning about a new vaccine initiative involving the team.
Earlier this week, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced that those attending games for the 2021-2022 season are required to be vaccinated. The memo stated in part that “all fans and staff be fully vaccinated” in order to attend games this fall. The notice concluded with: “No vaccine = No entry.”
Bush, who said she recently had COVID-19, took to Twitter and went on a tirade.
She said, “So now my daughter is missing ANOTHER year of watching her dad play live in a very short lived career. Not even an option available to her since we already know kids can’t get the covid vaccine. How is that fair or acceptable. It’s not. FL and TX would never.”
She even went as far to retweet a fan who suggested she talk safety Jordan Poyer into requesting a trade to another team.
A petition demanding the Buffalo Bills take a stand against the county’s mandate requiring fans to show proof of vaccination has gained serious traction over the past few days. The Change.org petition has more than 3,000 people and counting signing it.

It reads as:
“This is America. We have freedoms to be able to live life and to CHOOSE. If you want the vaccine, go get it. If you don’t, that should be your choice.
The Buffalo Bills must do their part to protect our rights, privacy and freedoms to attend a game without being forced to take a vaccine.
The Buffalo Bills are represented by the same prominent attorneys who have defeated Governor Cuomo’s unconstitutional mandates many times before in favor of bars, schools, churches and youth sports. The Bills must act and use their attorneys to fight this again. They have the power and the constitution on their side.
In addition – local elected leaders and lawmakers are elected to represent us, and our freedoms and personal choices. It’s time they stand up for the people and remove these mandates.”
The Bills are expected to open their season in September.
