This is not what you want to see any prospect go through just one month before the NFL Draft.
During the Michigan Wolverines’ Pro Day today, linebacker David Ojabo went down with what appeared to be a serious leg injury. A crowd could see forming around Ojabo and observers say that things “got very quiet.”
The star edge-rusher was eventually helped off the field. No word on the extent of the injury or whether it was to his leg or ankle.
Most of the post-NFL combine mock drafts have Ojabo going somewhere in the first round, after he ran a solid 4.55 in the 40. Whether or not this injury affects his draft stock will likely come down to the severity of it. Let’s hope it’s not something that sets the young pass-rusher back before his professional career can even begin.
