Kawhi Leonard has always been a simple man.
The superstar Clippers player went viral years ago after a story revealed he was still driving the same car he did in high school, even after he agreed to a five-year, $94 million extension with the Spurs at the time.
“He often drives a rehabbed ’97 Chevy Tahoe, nicknamed Gas Guzzler, which he drove across Southern California’s Inland Empire as a teenager. “It runs,” Leonard explains, “and it’s paid off.”
It’s unclear if Leonard still drives the Tahoe, but earlier this week, a Twitter page shared Leonard’s 2016 quotes about the car, which prompted Baltimore Ravens star Marlon Humphrey to jump online and mock Leonard.
Green Bay Packers star Aaron Jones jumped in the comment section and came to Kawhi’s defense, but Humphrey fired right back.

Despite how Humphrey feels, Leonard has carved out a tremendous career in the NBA. He is already a two-time NBA champion and two-time Finals MVP. He’s earned five All-Star bids and five All-NBA selections.
Leonard has never been the type to engage in drama, so do not expect him to respond to what the Ravens CB had to say about him.
The Clippers are currently the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference with a 38-35 record. Leonard is averaging 23.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists a game.
