Just like back in 2016, Donald Trump waged war on the National Football League as Colin Kaepernick started kneeling during the National Anthem to bring attention to police brutality and social injustices, and it appears like he is headed that way yet again.
On Saturday, Cleveland Browns star quarterback Baker Mayfield made it clear to an Instagram user that he would be kneeling during the National Anthem in the wake of the death of George Floyd who was murdered by Minneapolis cops.
Texans defensive end J.J. Watt made his thoughts clear to a Twitter user that kneeling during the Anthem was never disrespectful.
On Twitter, President Trump replied to a tweet that stated United States Soccer won’t be standing for the Anthem by stating the NFL is headed that way as well.
He promptly threatened not to attend any games because of it.
