There was some serious shake-up in the running back rankings this week, which shouldn’t be a huge surprise considering the volatile nature of the position. Now that we are on to Week 10, let’s take a look around the league and see where every running back ranks.
32. Arizona Cardinals Keaontay Ingram (Last Week N/A)
With Emari Demercado out with an injury, Keaontay Ingram was slotted in—and man did he pick a tough week to have his big break. He did so during Clayton Tune’s first NFL start—and against a ferocious Browns defense, so, I guess it shouldn’t be a shock that he finished with just eight yards on nine carries.
31. Buffalo Bills James Cook (Last Week #24)
The Buffalo Bills about gave up on running the football against Cincinnati because James Cook was so ineffective. He finished the contest with 20 yards on six carries.
30. Minnesota Vikings Alexander Mattison (Last Week #32)
Alexander Mattison was not able to capitalize on the running opportunities that Joshua Dobbs’s mobility offered this week. He struggled to get anything going this week against the Falcons, taking 16 carries for a measly 44 yards.

29. Los Angeles Rams Darrell Henderson Jr. (Last Week #23)
The Rams offense struggled as a whole this week with Matt Stafford out, but there is no excusing Darrell Henderson’s performance, as he managed a measly 19 yards on 10 carries.
28. Houston Texans Devon Singletary (Last Week N/A)
Devon Singletary was shifted into the starting role this week, but it went just about as well for him as it has Dameon Pierce. Singletary finished the high-scoring affair against the Bucs with just 26 yards on 13 carries.
27. Dallas Cowboys Tony Pollard (Last Week #26)
Tony Pollard has really struggled this year since shifting into “feature back” duties for Dallas. This week against Philadelphia was no exception, as he totaled 51 yards on 12 carries and was essentially a nonfactor in the passing game.
26. Atlanta Falcons Bijan Robinson (Last Week #17)
Things are starting to get a little strange with Bijan Robinson down in Atlanta. The Falcons rookie is rarely featured in red zone packages and got just 11 carries this week, which, to his credit, he took for a respectable 51 yards.
25. Carolina Panthers Chuba Hubbard (Last Week #27)
It has now been a couple of consecutive weak showings from Chuba Hubbard. The Panthers running back took 16 carries for just 56 yards in the loss to the Colts.
24. Los Angeles Chargers Austin Ekeler (Last Week #15)
Austin Ekeler really hasn’t looked like himself this year. He did manage to get into the endzone twice against New York, but that was more so a productive of the Jets inadequacies on offense setting him up in situations that were nearly impossible to miss.
He just doesn’t seem to have the same pop he once did.
23. Kansas City Chiefs Isiah Pacheco (Last Week #19)
Isiah Pacheco was quiet again this week, as the Chiefs squared off with the Miami Dolphins in Germany. The dynamic running back totaled 66 yards on 16 carries.
22. Seattle Seahawks Kenneth Walker III (Last Week #18)
It was a tough showing this week for Seattle in general, but Kenneth Walker in particular. He managed just 16 yards on nine carries, as Baltimore’s defense was eating them alive all afternoon.
21. Cleveland Browns Jerome Ford (Last Week N/A)
While it seemed like Kareem Hunt might take over lead responsibilities, it now appears that Jerome Ford is back in the driver’s seat. He had a nice weak against the Cardinals, totaling 44 yards on the ground and adding five receptions for 33 through the air.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers Najee Harris (Last Week #25)
Najee Harris put forth his second solid week in a row, taking 16 carries for 69 yards and a score against a respectable Titans defense.
19. New England Patriots Rhamondre Stevenson (Last Week #29)
This was far and away Rhamondre Stevenson’s most productive outing of the year thus far. The Patriots back looked like the 2022 – 2023 version of himself, taking nine carries for 87 yards and one touchdown, while also contributing to the passing attack in the form of four catches for 42 yards.
18. Cincinnati Bengals Joe Mixon (Last Week #12)
After a couple of hot weeks, Mixon cooled down performance-wise against Buffalo going for just 37 yards on 14 carries. He did, however, get into the endzone on one of those carries—and chipped in 31 yards on five receptions.
17. Chicago Bears D’Onta Foreman (Last Week #16)
D’Onta Foreman ran the ball well against a steady Saints defense this week. The Bears back took 20 carries for 83 yards, but it was to no avail as Chicago fell to the Saints.
16. Green Bay Packers Aaron Jones (Last Week #31)
Aaron Jones was impressive this week against an admittedly weak Rams run defense. He took 20 carries for 73 yards and a score, and chipped in an additional 26 yards on four catches.
15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rachaad White (Last Week #30)
Rachaad White actually showed up to play this week for Tampa, finally breaking out of his season-long slump. The second-year back took 20 carries for 73 yards and two scores—and tacked on four catches for an additional 46 yards.
14. Baltimore Ravens Gus Edwards (Last Week #8)
Gus Edward unexpectedly took a backseat against Seattle to Keaton Mitchell, after a couple of strong performances, but he salvage his five carry-afternoon, by converting two of them for touchdowns and finishing with an impressive 52 rushing yards.
13. Washington Commanders Brian Robinson (Last Week #21)
This was a big week for Washington culture-wise as the team had to find a way to perform after management shipped out a ton of talent at the deadline. Brian Robinson was a big piece of their success this week as he converted 18 carries into 63 yards and a score against the Patriots.
12. New Orleans Saints Alvin Kamara (Last Week #7)
Alvin Kamara cooled off slightly this week against the Bears, but still managed to nearly notch 100 yards from scrimmage, taking 11 carries for 52 yards and snagging four passes for 44.
11. Indianapolis Colts Jonathan Taylor (Last Week #9)
It was a slightly modest week for Jonathan Taylor against Carolina in Week 9. He managed to gain only 47 yards on 18 carries—though he did find his way into the endzone on one of his five receptions.
10. BYE Denver Broncos Javonte Williams (Last Week #11)
After a great performance against a tough Chiefs defense last week, Javonte Williams had a chance to rest up with his squad on bye. He should have a favorable matchup on Monday Night Football Week 10 against the Bills.
9. Philadelphia Eagles D'Andre Swift (Last Week #14)
D’Andre Swift was big for Philly this week in its win against Dallas, as the lead back totaled 74 yards from scrimmage on a night where yards were hard to come by for the Eagles.
8. New York Jets Breece Hall (Last Week #4)
Breece Hall was relatively quiet again this week, but credit to the Jets RB for being able to produce anything at all with the way that offensive line has performed this year.
7. Miami Dolphins Raheem Mostert (Last Week Last Week #10)
Raheem Mostert had a great showing this week against a strong Chiefs defense taking 12 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown. He has been extremely explosive all year.
6. BYE Detroit Lions Jahmyr Gibbs (Last Week #9)
Jahmyr Gibbs got to reset up this week after his monster performance against the Raiders. Word is that David Montgomery is healing up too though, so it will be interesting to see what Gibbs’s role in the Lions offense looks like going forward.
5. Tennessee Titans Derrick Henry (Last Week #8)
Derrick Henry had another solid week—this time against the Steelers, who have been stout defensively this season. The Titans star went for 75 yards and a score on just 17 carries and chipped in three receptions for 27.
4. Las Vegas Raiders Josh Jacobs (Last Week #22)
Josh Jacobs looked like a man reborn this week with the shadow of Josh McDaniels no long looming over the Raiders organization. The former All-Pro back went for 98 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries as Vegas steamrolled the Giants.
3. BYE Jacksonville Jaguars Travis Etienne Jr. (Last Week #3)
Jaguars fans had to be a little disappointed to see their team on bye this week, because Travis Etienne was really coming alive in recent weeks. He’ll be well rested in Week 10, but will have his work cut out for him against a tough and retooled 49ers D.
2. New York Giants Saquon Barkley (Last Week #2)
Saquon Barkley continues to impress as the sole source of offense for the New York Giants. He went for over 100 scrimmage yards this week against a revitalized Raiders team, despite having Tommy Devito under center.
1. BYE San Francisco 49ers Christian McCaffrey (Last Week #1)
What a special season it has been for this 49ers star… As it turns out, the only thing that could stop Christian McCaffrey from getting in the endzone is the 49ers having their bye week. Let’s see if he can make history next week against the Jaguars!
