Not only was D’Andre Swift’s late-game end zone drop heartbreaking for fans of the Detroit Lions, it was extremely costly for one bettor who shelled out a bunch of money on the Lions.
Entering the 4th quarter, the Detroit Lions had a 23-6 lead and looked to be in the driver’s seat for their first win. The Bears offense proceeded to wake up and score 21-unanswered points and steal a win.
Not helping matters was Matthew Stafford delivering a perfect pass to Swift in the front left corner of the end zone, onlt for him to drop what would have been the game-winning touchdown.
Had Swift caught that pass and the Lions added the extra point to flip the score to 30-27, it would have yielded a return of $159,090.90 for one BetMGM user who wagered $175,000 on the Lions to cover the 2.5-point spread.
Such a bad beat for that guy.
