Pittsburgh police as well as Heinz Field Security are investigating after a fight broke out during the Steelers preseason game against the Detroit Lions Saturday.
Video of the incident surfaced on social media showing a woman in a verbal argument with a man, before she hauled off and slapped him. The man decided to fight her husband who stood up, but would soon take a vicious punch that knocked him out cold.
“Heinz Field Management is aware of the video of an incident from last night’s game at Heinz Field. We are working with local authorities and Heinz Field staff to gather more information and identify the individuals involved,” said Steelers spokesperson Burt Lauten. “This kind of conduct is inexcusable, and we will respond accordingly once more information is obtained.”
It’s unclear if stadium security removed those involved in the fight from the game.
