We are getting closer and closer to the National Football League being exclusively on streaming services as we move into a new age.
The regular season is already on YouTube TV as the games pivoted away from DirecTV.
Now, it appears the playoffs will be next.
NBC is changing the format of the NFL Wild Card Weekend this year. For the first time in NFL history, a playoff game will be broadcast exclusively on a streaming service.
On Jan. 13th, one wild-card playoff game will air exclusively on Peacock in the NFL’s latest viewership experiment.

NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, joined the live sports streaming last month when they broadcasted the Buffalo Bills matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Alongside becoming the first company to exclusively stream an NFL game, they are also becoming the first network to broadcast three playoff games in the same weekend.
Peacock will likely stream more than two games in 2024 with the success it has seen this season.
Fans might not like it, but this will continue to become a reality for the fans as we stray further and further away from God’s light.
