The Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback situation has been a topic of concern during the 2023 NFL season. The team has yet to find a successor since Ben Roethlisberger retired.
There are certainly quite a few hot takes about the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback position past the 2023 season making the rounds right now and one of the more popular ones came from an ESPN analyst.
ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller responded to a post about the Steelers going after Eric Bienemy if the Commanders do not think he can be the next head coach. He suggested that the Steelers trade for Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields.
“Trade for Justin Fields while they’re at it,” said ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller in response to a tweet about the Steelers by Marcus Spears.
The Bears could end up with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft and might not be passing on the opportunity to choose a QB this time around.

Last year, they traded the pick to the Carolina Panthers.
Many expect that the team could go with USC quarterback Caleb Williams who is said to have the most upside of any QB coming out of college.
Entering Week 16, the Steelers own the No. 16 selection in the first round. The Steelers hold the last pick of the 7-7 non-playoff teams because they have the most difficult strength of schedule.
