The Pittsburgh Steelers were forced to place star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick on the non-football injury list with a wrist injury.
Mike Tomlin revealed Fitzpatrick recently fell off his bike and suffered a wrist injury.
“#Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick fell off a bike and injured his wrist. Team doesn’t believe it’s anything serious but he will begin camp on the non-football injury list,” said Ari Meirov.
It is not expected to be a serious injury.
Last month, the Steelers made Fitzpatrick the highest-paid safety in NFL history with a five-year contract extension worth $18.4 million per season with $36 million guaranteed.
In 2021, Fitzpatrick appeared in 16 games for the Steelers and recorded 124 total tackles, one forced fumble, one recovery, two interceptions, and seven pass deflections.
