The Pittsburgh Steelers have claimed a young linebacker from the archrival Baltimore Ravens off of waivers.
Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Steelers have claimed linebacker Jeremiah Moon off waivers from the Ravens. Moon was placed on waivers earlier this week by Baltimore ahead of their AFC Championship Game clash with the Kansas City Chiefs.
After going undrafted last year, the Florida product signed with the Ravens. He had been waived and then re-signed on multiple occasions and was promoted to the final roster for the club’s Week 18 home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 25-year-old Moon appeared in eight games for the Ravens during the regular season, recording two forced fumbles, 12 combined tackles and one tackle for a loss.
Pittsburgh’s 2023 season ended with a road loss to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on Super Wild Card Weekend. But it was a year of progress for Mike Tomlin’s squad, who recorded just their second double-digit win season since 2018.
