The former Denver Broncos wide receiver who was traded to the Houston Texans during the 2018 season, but ultimately released from the roster after the season found himself in big trouble after he was taken into custody and accused of vehicular assault back in February.
Thomas was being held for investigation of vehicular assault, driving without insurance and reckless driving after investigators found him to be going 70 MPH in a 30 MPH zone in Denver in the early morning hours of February 16th “when he lost control of his SUV and crashed it into a curb.”
TMZ Sports have now obtained images of that morning crash that landed the free agent WR in jail:
“One witness tells us the car flipped several times before coming to a stop right-side-up … dozens of yards from where it took off from.
Thomas and his two passengers somehow escaped from the crash okay — which seems like a miracle when you see the damage that was done.
The pics show a mangled car … the back is completely smashed in while the engine is in pieces, falling out of the front.”
Thomas would go on to reach a deal with prosecutors and avoid jail time.
