Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is drawing lots of praise online following a classy act that appears to have earned his team a new fan.
Richardson, who spent most of his rookie season sidelined due to injury, has gone viral this week following reports of him stopping to help a stranger stranded on the side of a highway after one of his tires blew out.
The stranger, who says he’s a Colts fan now, took to social media with a photo of him and Richardson, explaining what happened in the caption:
He noted that the Colts QB was the only one who stopped to offer help after his breakdown.

Anthony Richardson Is No Stranger To Random Acts Of Kindness
Anthony Richardson has already developed a reputation for such acts. While the Colts drafted him for his ability, his character was also a major factor. He made the news after word got out that he stayed behind to help bus tables after an NFL rookie orientation program last May.
League executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent was said to be very impressed with the way the QB handled himself after the program as the room was left a mess following the meet with all of the potential draftees.
Richardson was the only one who stayed behind to help with the cleaning.
Richardson’s Rookie Season Ended Early
The QB’s first campaign in the pros didn’t quite go as planned as he started four games before suffering a shoulder injury requiring season-ending surgery.
He is expected to be ready to play again by the beginning of next season and will look to help the Colts to their first playoff appearance since 2020.
