New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito was catching strays after police named a suspect in the homicide investigation involving UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Thompson was gunned down in midtown Manhattan last Wednesday, with his killer eluding police despite being caught on camera.
The incident prompted a manhunt that may have come to an end following a suspect being taken into custody on Monday morning.
According to the New York Post, one Luigi Mangione was cornered at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania after someone called the police. He showed the same fake ID presented at a New York hostel on the same day of the shooting.
Mangione hasn’t been charged and remains a person of interest amid the investigation, but he’s gone viral online, with photos of him now circulating on social media.
His name has also been the subject of lots of jokes.

Tommy DeVito’s Agent Couldn’t Avoid Coming Up After Mangione’s Arrest
One such joke involves DeVito’s agent, Sean Stellato, who became a bit of a sensation after the QB stepped up to start in place of an injured Daniel Jones last season.
Check it out below:
“Omg lol,” someone laughed.
“LOL perfect,” another chimed in.
“Make him the Giants kicker already,” a user suggested.
The Post reports that Mangione, a former Ivy League student, was caught with a ghost gun built to fire 9mm rounds, as well as a silencer, a U.S. passport, four fake IDs, and a manifesto appearing to list out grievances against the healthcare industry.
