The NFL is known for its plethora of storylines, some of which have ended with controversial players becoming the face of their own stories outside of football, and sometimes, this isn’t quite the best look for the league.
That being said, NFL fans are some of the most ruthless when it comes to never letting a fanbase or team live down any infamous incident in a franchise’s history, and this continues to be the case to this day.
For one reason or another, two of the more infamous players in the NFL are former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. Both landed themselves in heavy legal trouble during their respective careers.
Both players still had jerseys that sold after the troubles they got into, and it now seems as though some NFL fans are dusting them off and wearing them on purpose to some of the NFL’s 2024 games. Two in particular were spotted at the Ravens vs. Broncos matchup.

The picture captured in the tweet sent Social Media into a frenzy. The comments were ruthless to say the least, as one commented joking that they probably had a friend wearing an OJ Simpson jersey as well.

One of Simpson’s more famous moments was the police chase he had in the white Ford Bronco. Another fan added to the point of the Simpson jersey being a possibility, claiming there could also be a Vick jersey there.
Another NFL fan commented one word, seemingly staying in touch with reality as they deemed the moment “embarrassing,” not only for fans who attended in the jerseys but for the league as a whole. While there is no guarantee, the NFL may want to have some preventative measures in place in the future.
